Hostel
No, i live with two of my course mates in an apartment about 10 minutes from Columbia which sets us back about 1200 CAD per month. It seems on the higher side but it's justified for an independent Bath and Bed for each.
Columbia is one of the cheapest schools in Vancouver. An associate degree allows me to save money that i can put in the future for my bachelors at universities such as SFU or UBC. Columbia also has a good amount of international students ( mostly Indian). Columbia college also had a pretty chilled out schedule with about 3 days a week of classes during my 1st and 2nd sem which was great for any international student working to earn a living.
Hostel
Personally living on my own work the best for me. I was lucky enough to find a place with some friends and share accommodation and expenses. We all go to the same school so it was a really good understanding and we all got along really well. I heard from my friends that the school accommodations are really expensive and congested.
Columbia College is located in the heart of Vancouver near the science world which is a perfect place for school and easy to commute. This college has provided me with the perfect opportunity to explore myself and what do I really want to major in. I have also heard the stories of this college in my own city seven seas away. It is a little expensive for the internationals but I would say the experience is worth it for sure.
Campus Life
Campus life is also good. Library and books are easily available, even there are some e-books available. And, wifi is also good.
Hostel
I did not live in college's accommodation.
