Vanguard Campus and Residence
The Campus of Vanguard college is located in Canada’s Festival City and is home to beautiful parks, river valleys, historic buildings and many more. Athletics at Vanguard include floor hockey, basketball, volleyball, soccer and gym. Students can participate in various community league team sports organized by the campus life. The chapel services are the heart of the spiritual life at Vanguard. The campus also offers counselling services through the Campus Life Team to counsel and guide students.
Each year the college hosts spiritual enrichment days and retreat programs to experience out of book knowledge spiritual connection. The college library consists of over 55,000 books including reference titles, biblical study resources, novels, and much more. Students can get access to over 10 million resources from NEOS libraries across Alberta. Students get to participate in community and small group discipleship weekly led by senior students and staff members.
Residence
Vanguard College consists of two residence halls: Paris Townhomes and Parkview Townhomes and provides housing accommodations to first-year students. The college offers only limited space and thus suggests students apply early. Applications can be submitted using the online portal along with a deposit fee of 50 CAD. Each house can accommodate four-six students and includes private and shared rooms in your budget. Houses are located within a two-block radius of the college and include fully furnished facilities. Other amenities include basic kitchen appliances such as a fridge, stove, microwave, kitchen essentials, laundry(washer and dryers), etc. basic utilities include internet services, heat, water, electricity.
No meal plans are offered to the resident students. Residents will be responsible to prepare their food. Besides this the college also helps to find housing in rent in the neighbourhood. Students who could not grab a spot at Vanguard on-campus housing can connect with the Vanguard Housing Network to search for potential roommates and see details about houses or apartments for rent in the local area. Housing at Paris Townhouses cost 450 CAD for shared and 550 CAD per month for private suites whereas in Parkview Townhouses the cost is 550 CAD per month for both shared as well as single occupancy.
