- Aside from all the technical know-how, students will pick up some great soft skills – effective communication, project management, law, public policy, and leadership.
- After 2nd year students can also take part in the co-op program, which will be an early start when it comes to finding their dream job.
- The professors deliver various kinds of learning experiences in their courses, labs, and prototyping spaces.
- University also provides co-op and internship opportunities in all of the programs that can get students up to 18 months of on-the-job experience.
- Students can work a minimum of 12 months up to a maximum of 20 months while on co-op.
- In Lassonde School of Engineering, the students work together on course projects, design challenges, and even running workshops for other students.
- The department provides various modeling and design software including SOLIDWORKS, MATLAB, LabVIEW, ANSYS, and Abaqus to increase the student's skills.
- University will dive deep into learning about the field student are passionate about, and gain perspective through co-op, internship, entrepreneurship, research, and student clubs.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students must complete an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) degree.
- As an Ontario Secondary School student, here are the courses they need to apply:
- English
- Chemistry
- Physics
- Advanced Functions
- Calculus and Vectors
- Students must have a minimum grade of 70% in each of these prerequisite courses.
- Students must have proof of English language proficiency (for non-native English speakers, i.e. IELTS, TOEFL).
Indian Student Eligibility
Indian students are eligible to apply if they have any one of the following certificates:
- All-India Senior School Certificate (AISSCE)
- Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC)
- Indian School Certificate (ISC)
- Intermediate Examination Certificate
- Pre-University Examination Certificate
- Students also have to complete the Grade XII math course.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.
