Bachelor of Arts [B.A] (Geography)
Field of Study:
CA$21,000/Yr
- Geography is the interdisciplinary study of the world, its physical characteristics like water, landforms, vegetation, and climate as well as the relationships between people and the environment.
- The student can choose between one of the three Geography degree options. The Bachelor of Arts in Geography provides a solid foundation in physical and human geography with a focus on the cultural, economic, political, and social influences.
- The human–environment tradition makes geography one of the most diverse fields of academic study, bridging the social and natural sciences, and the humanities.
- Physical geographers study natural phenomena such as climates, river systems, surficial landforms, and the spatial distribution of vegetation and animals.
- Human geographers study social phenomena such as the formation of cities, resource and environmental management, the location of manufacturing, urban health, and the geographic distribution of cultures.
- Geographical research helps inform public debates on major issues of the day—not just to help us understand the world, but to help improve it.
