What's New in SIMS?
NEET UG 2024 will be held on May 5, 2024, for admission to MBBS at SIMS Shimoga. NEET PG 2024 will be held on March 3, 2024, for admission to MD/ MS at SIMS Shimoga.
Established in 2005, the Shimoga Institute Of Medical Sciences (SIMS) is a private autonomous university. The institute is spread over an area of 25 acres and is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Bangalore. It has also received approval from the Medical Council of India. The institute offers various undergraduate and postgraduate courses across different specializations. The college offers the MBBS program at the undergraduate level. At the postgraduate level, SIMS offers MD and MS programs.
- Candidates have to qualify NEET for admission into any particular course. NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) is an entrance examination for the students who want to enroll in the medical and dental colleges of India. Formerly, it was known as the All India Pre Medical Test (AIPMT).

The administration department of the college facilitates government scholarships arranged by the Government of Karnataka.
