VGSOM - Vinod Gupta School of Management IIT, Kharagpur

VGSoM (Vinod Gupta School of Management), founded in 1993 is a part of IIT Kharagpur and is the first school of management of its kind setup within the IITs. VGSoM was ranked 14 among the top management institutes as per NIRF Ranking 2023. VGSoM offers a 2 Year flagship MBA programme and the intake is 200 students. VGSoM MBA admission is based on CAT scores, followed by a Personal Interview. Only those who have a 4-Year Bachelor’s degree with 60% marks are eligible to apply and VGSoM MBA fees is INR 12.85 lakhs for 2 years.. 

VGSoM has released final placement report for the batch of 2022-24 and the average package stood at INR 20.83 LPA and the highest package at INR 37.07 LPA, during the 2024 placement drive. During the VGSoM admission 2023, a total of 2049 general category candidates selected VGSoM IIT Kharagpur as their CAT preference, of which 1194 were shortlisted for interview and 340 candidates received the final offer. VGSoM CAT cutoff is 90 percentile for the general category.
