AVIT Chennai Admissions 2024: Fees, Selection Criteria, Eligibility, Registration Processs

AVIT offers full-time undergraduate B.E/B.Tech degree programs to eligible students. The duration of the course is 4 years.

The B.E./B.Tech. program is offered under the following specializations-

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for admission, the candidates must possess a 10+2 qualification with a minimum of 50% marks in PCM.

Selection Criteria

Admission to the B.E/B.Tech. program will be granted on the basis of merit.

AVIT offers regular full-time postgraduate level degree courses in Engineering and Management domain. The duration for the courses is 2 years and it is approved by AICTE. 

M.E. is offered under the following specializations:

• Manufacturing Engineering
• Power Systems Engineering
• Computer Science and Engineering
• Embedded Systems Technologies
• Construction Engineering and Management

M.Tech. is offered under the discipline of Biotechnology.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for admission, the candidates must possess a B.Tech. degree with a minimum of 50% marks in the qualifying exams.

AVIT Tamil Nadu M.E./M.Tech.Selection criteria

Admission to the above-mentioned M.E./M.Tech. programs is done on the basis of the marks obtained in the qualifying Examinations (Relevant Degree or its equivalent) as per the Apex Council Norms and the merit-based counseling conducted by the Admission Monitoring Committee (AMC) of VMRF (DU), Salem.

Aside from Engineering, the institute also offers an MBA under 12 specializations for a duration of two years.

AVIT Tamil Nadu MBA Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for admission, the candidates must possess the following qualifications-

• A Passed Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 3 years duration.
• Obtained at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying Examination.

Selection Criteria

Admission will be granted on the basis of merit secured in the last qualifying exam.

AVIT offers 3 years full time post-graduate-level program in Ph.D. under different subjects of specialisations. The programme is conducted on campus and is approved by AICTE. The specialisations in Ph.D include the following:

• Engineering
• Management
• Health Science
• Education
• Humanities and Science

Eligibility criteria

A candidate must have passed Post Graduation from a recognized University in a related domain to seek admission in Doctoral Ph.D. program.

Selection criteria

Selection is done purely on the basis of marks in qualifying exam i.e. Post-Graduation.

Candidates are required to apply offline for different PG courses available at AVIT. Steps for offline application is listed below:

• Download the admission form for the academic year either from the official website of AVIT or in person from the admission cell at the campus
• Read out the instructions properly and fill out the required information
• Submit the duly filled application form along with required documents at the Admission cell of the campus

Documents required

• Attested photocopy of 10th/Matriculation/Secondary School Certificate issued by the Board of Examinations
• Conduct and Community Certificate
• 3 passport size photographs
• Other documents required by the University

In addition to the above documents, NRI students need to furnish below documents as well

• No Objection Certificate or NOC issued by the Government of India
• NOC issued by the Ambassador of the native country
• Eligibility Certificate from the University
• Valid Student Visa
• Relevant travel documents including passport
• Required Health Certificate and Vaccination Certificate

AVIT offers all possible financial aid to meritorious and reserved category students to avail best in class education in the field of Engineering and Management. A total of 3.22 crores are provided as part of the scholarship by the institution. The list of scholarships offered to different categories are listed below:

• Full waiver in Tuition Fee and hostel fee in 1st year for first 100 rank holders in the 10+2 Examination from respective states
