Bachelor of Engineering [BE] (Computer Science and Engineering) From Acharya Institute of Technology, Bangalore

Someone I know attended the institute and her experience was not that good. 

The majority of the degree holders from this institute and similar institutes are shifted to the position of clerks in the companies based on services; companies that are under the officials of the institute. This happens because there is no concept of placement in such institutes.

The Acharya Institute of Technology is a four-tier institute and as it is usual for four-tier institutes in India, this institute also holds pool campus placements.

Placement is only a possibility when an engineering company is in need of engineers who are skilled and look for such individuals in different colleges, often offering packages of 60 LPA to the successful candidates.

Most degree holders from four-tier colleges work as clerks in the services-based companies with a package of about 2-3 LPA. 

The CSE department of Acharya Institute of Technology is quite good, considering the overall educational facilities, hostels, and environment. A friend of mine attended the institute. Here is his review regarding the facilities provided by the institute.

• Comparing with other departments, the CSE department is quite decent, with good laboratories, clean classrooms, and overall good infrastructure.
• The environment inside the campus of Acharya Institute of Technology is quite good for students to study peacefully. Candidates having doubts about the internal environment can clarify the same from internal faculties.
• There is an almost equal ratio of North Indians and South Indians inside the campus.
• The hostels provided by Acharya Institute of Technology are good, compared to hostels of other institutes. There are double and triple sharing rooms, which cost around Rs. 1.1 and Rs. 1.47 lakhs per annum respectively. Inside the rooms, the institute provides tables and chairs to study. There are medical facilities available inside the campus.
• For internet services, the institute provides LAN for laptops only inside the rooms. There is WIFI connectivity at the corridor, where most social networking and online shopping sites are blocked. But, these sites can be accessed through LAN after 5 PM.
• Talking about the food in hostels, there is a 3-time meal system- breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Overall, the food is considered to be good, with both rice and chapatti in lunch and dinner. Sumber is a must.

BMS Institute of Technology and Management (BMSIT) is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi. It is ranked 169 for BTech by NIRF 2020. It is set by BMS Educational Trust and is recognized by AICTE and NBA. They have 162 faculty members. 

Acharya Institute of Technology (AIT) is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi with a faculty strength of 300 members. The student population is 4,432 across all the departments. It is an autonomous institution recognized by UGC and AICTE.

• Some of the recruiters include Infosys, Pingala, HSBC, Byju’s, OG Healthcare, TCS, Wipro, HP, etc.
• CSE graduates can work as System Database Administrator, Computer Programmer, Engineering Support Specialist, Software Developer, Software Engineer, Lecturer or Professor, Computer Operator, Research Analyst, etc.

Facilities 

BMSIT 

• They have a student strength of more than 3206 students.
• They provide separate boys and girls hostels.
• Their food court can accomodate 200 students at a time.
• They provide transportation services and indoor and outdoor sports facilities.

AIT

• They have a student strength of 4423 students across all departments.
• Their campus area is 120 acres.
• They have 12 hostels, 5 for boys 7 for girls accommodating 1500 students all over.
• They have 1175 computers in total.
• They also provide sports, medical and library facilities.

CSE will be a better choice than Telecommunication Engineering because there is a constant demand for computer engineers in today’s rapidly growing corporate industry. CSE is the most in demand engineering course. Due to its scope and popularity it is better to choose CSE for moving your career ahead. But students interested in pursuing Telecommunication Engineering can always go for that.

The BE in CSE program at Chandigarh University and Acharya Institute of Technology is the most recruited program from the BE department with an average placement rate of 70%-80%.

Placements:

• In 2019, AIT's BE CSE department saw a 49% placement record. The major recruiters at AIT Bangalore were Amara Raja Batteries Limited (15%); and Ancient Group (15%) with the highest domestic CTC of INR 21 LPA offered by MuSigma Business Solutions Limited.
• In 2020, more than 350 companies recruited 3750 students from Chandigarh University's BE department. The students were offered an average package of INR 6 LPA and 90-92% placed students were from the CSE department. Some of the major recruiters include Wipro, TCS, Amazon, and Microsoft. Wipro recruited 394 students from the CSE department followed by Capgemini with 217 recruitments.The highest package of 35 LPA was offered to CSE and IT students at the Chandigarh University in 2020.

• Has 6.1 times higher ROI in the area and has a 'Nano Degree' facility available.
• The faculty is selected after 2-3 rounds of examination and interviews and the faculty Student ratio is 1:70.

Both AIT and CU make the BE CSE program available free of cost to meritorious students with 95% and above marks in the entrance exams.

Yes, there is a 100% chance, you'll get CSE at the Acharya Technology Institute with 18K in COMEDK.

However, there are some other universities that are worth more than Acharya IT that is also available.

• BNM institute of technology Banashankari -. It's also acceptable for specific tight regulations.

If you are a Karnataka resident, you may get the right college for whatever divisions you choose to graduate. But you might find it a little tougher to get a college during the first round of counseling if you are from outside Karnataka.
