About AKGEC
Ajay Kumar Garg College Engineering popularly known as AKGEC, was established in 1998 in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. The institute is affiliated to Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow, and is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education. AKGEC is the only Engineering college to be awarded A++ by NAAC.
AKGEC offers B.Tech, M.Tech & MCA courses. AKGEC B.Tech course is offered in 11 specializations & M.Tech is offered in 4 specializations. To gain admission to AKGEC, candidates can either sit in JEE Main Exams and based on JEE Mains 2024 score, they can apply for admission or can take Direct Admission based on 12th score & JEE Mains Score. The following are steps to follow for getting admission at the Raj Kumar Goel Institute of Technology, Ghaziabad:
Admission Process
Through JEE Mains
- Visit https://jeemain.nta.nic.in/, apply for JEE Mains, sit in JEE Mains Examinations, wait for the results.
- Attend UPTAC counseling. Applicants have to fill in the choice at uptac.admissions.nic.in.
- Candidates have to provide their JEE Main application number and password to complete the UPTAC counseling 2023 choice filling.
- At the time of choice filling of UPTAC, applicants have to enter preferred choices of colleges and courses in the form.
- After that, the exam authority declares the UPTAC seat allotment result based on choices filled by candidates only.
- Once RKGIT is allotted, He/She can apply for the college admission form & pay the admission fees.

- Pay the required application fees.
- Submit the form.
- JEE Mains is also required during direct admission at AKGEC.

AKGEC Hostels & Other Facilities
Hostels
Each hostel at AKGEC has a separate mess with a well-equipped kitchen and dining area providing hygienic, nutritious and wholesome meals. Hostels have gymnasium as well as indoor and outdoor sports facilities. Each hostel also has a TV room and library with magazines and fiction / general reading books. Hostels are equipped with eco-friendly solar water heating systems. Hostels also have canteens and provision stores for minor items of daily requirement.

There are 2 hostels for boys named “Junior Boys Hostel Complex” and “Senior Boys Hostel Complex”. The Junior Boys Hostel can accommodate 300 students with double occupancy rooms. The Senior Boys Hostel can accommodate 600 students with single & triple occupancy rooms.

There are 3 hostels for girls at AKGEC. These hostels have double and triple seater rooms and accommodate about 600 students.
