BIET offers Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree programme with an annual intake of 960 seats. The undergraduate level engineering degree programme is provided with a number of specializations namely, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering. All the B.Tech courses are offered with the duration of four years.

Admissions to all the B.Tech specializations are done through the Telangana State Engineering, Agricultural and Medical Common Entrance Test, referred to as TS EAMCET, conducted by the Govt. of Telangana State.

However, candidates willing to take admission in the B.Tech programme, should have passed in the examination of the Board of Intermediate Education, Government of Telangana with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects, or any other recognized examination considered as equivalent.

• 70% of the seats are filled by the Convener of EAMCET based on the rank secured in the Engineering and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) conducted by Govt. of Telengana / Andhra Pradesh.
• 30% of the seats are filled by the Management / NRI candidates based on the guidelines issued by the Govt. of Andhra Pradesh.

At postgraduate level, BIET offers Master of Technology (M.Tech) degree programme in 9 different specializations with the total intake of 168 seats. The courses offered are for a duration period of two years each.

Candidates seeking admission in M.Tech programme are required to appear in General Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). A candidate must have qualified his / her Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline of engineering with minimum required marks.

Apart from GATE, admission to the M.Tech program is also done through State Common Entrance examination TS PGECET (Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test) conducted by the Telangana State Council of Higher Education, Masab Tank, Hyderabad.

• Candidates seeking admission to the M.Tech programme must hold B.E. / B.Tech degree in relevant discipline of Engineering or Technology.
• They must obtain a valid TS PGECET / GATE scorecard to secure admission.

In addition to the M.Tech programme, BIET also offers another postgraduate level programme, Master of Business Administration (MBA) to the aspiring candidates. MBA programme is offered for a period of two years. The intake capacity for the MBA programme is 180 seats.

MBA Admissions is based on merit in TS ICET (Telangana State Integrated Common Entrance Test) conducted by the Convener, Admissions, TS ICET. Candidates must have passed the Bachelor’s degree examination (B.Sc / B.Com / BCA) to be considered eligible for admission to the MBA programme.
