Bharathiyar Institute of Engineering for Women (BIEW), Salem was established in 2008 under Sri Sakthi Educational Trust. It is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.
- The vision of the institute is to impart quality education, enhancing technical competitiveness of students, faculty members and staff and inculcating a sense of discipline, devotion and dedication to meet the challenges in life.
- The mission of the institute is to provide value based education and mould rural women into technically competent and ethically strong professionals who will deal constructively with professional and social issues.
- It is located in the midst of greenery fields along the Salem-Chennai National Highway (NH 79) in an educationally conducive environment.
