Founded in 2009, under the sponsorship of Sri Dhanekula Ravindranath Tagore, Dhanekula Institute of Engineering and Technology in Vijayawada is affiliated to JNTUK, Kakinada. DIET offers Diploma in four disciplines, B.Tech. in five specializations, and M.Tech. in VLSI Design and Computer Science and Engineering. Institute also offers lateral entry in all five specializations of B.Tech.

B.Tech. program in five specializations is offered by DIET and the minimum eligibility to apply in four-year program is 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and 50% marks (45% marks for reserved category) from a recognized board.
Candidate applying for the program should appear in state-level entrance exam AP-EAMCET conducted by Andhra Pradesh Council of Higher Council to be eligible to apply for B.Tech. course. Seats will be alloted based on counselling conducted by DTE, Andhra Pradesh.

DIET offers 24 seats in two-year full-time M.Tech. course in two specializations. The basic eligibility to apply for M.Tech. is bachelor’s degree in relevant stream of Engineering and Technology from recognized university and 50% aggregate in marks (45% for reserved category).
Applicants have to take AP-PGECET conducted by JNTUK on behalf of APSCHE to get selected in M.Tech programs. Seats will be allotted based on state level counselling.

The application process is common to all the courses. DIET invites offline application forms to apply for its Diploma, B.Tech., and M.Tech. courses.
- Collect the prospectus and application form from the admission counter of the Institute.
- Pay the requisite application fees against the prospectus.
- Duly fill in the necessary details in the columns provided.
