GATES Institute of Technology (GIT), Andhra Pradesh Admission 2024: Placement, Fees Structure, Entrance Exam

GATES Institute of Technology offers B.Tech course in five specializations for the duration of four-year. Admission is given to only those who have qualified Andhra Pradesh Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (AP-EAMCET) conducted by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.

Admission in B.Tech 2^nd year through Lateral Entry is given on the basis of candidates’ merit in Andhra Pradesh Engineering Common Entrance Test (AP-ECET) conducted by APSCHE.

Key Points:

• 70% of the total seats under Category-A are allotted to the candidates through AP-EAMCET while remaining 30% seats under Category-B and are filled by the Management.
• 20% of the total seats in each branch are allotted to Diploma holders to offer direct admission B.Tech 2^nd year through Lateral Entry.

• AP-EAMCET and AP-ECET are state level examinations conducted by JNTU.

The 2-year M.Tech course in four specializations is offered to the aspirants on the basis of their performance in GATE or AP PGECET followed by counselling.

Key Points:

• 70% of the total seats under the Convener Quota (Category-A) and rest 30% (Category-B) are considered under the Management Quota.

• Admission for Category-A is given through web counselling done on the basis of candidates’ rank in AP-PGECET or score of GATE.
• Admission for Category-B seats is given by the college Management in accordance with the guidelines of APSCHE, Hyderabad and JNTU, Anantapur.
• AP PGECET is a state level entrance test conducted in online mode in the month of May and the counselling is expected to be held in the month of July.

 The institute offers admission to MBA course through AP ICET score followed by the performance in GD or PI. Preference will be given to other National or State level entrance qualified candidates such as CAT, MAT, XAT or CMAT.

• Out of total available seats, 70% are reserved under Convener Quota and 30% are reserved under Management Quota 
• Seats under the Convener Quota are allotted on the basis of candidates’ performance in ICET.
• Management Quota seats are filled as per the guidelines of the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
