Government Tool Room Training Centre (GT&TC), Bangalore was established in 1972 with the participation of the Karnataka State Government, in collaboration with the Government of Denmark under the Bilateral Development Co-operation Agreement. The college is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU). It is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (A.I.C.T.E). The College offers a Bachelor of Engineering in Tool Engineering and Precision Manufacturing and an M. Tech in Tool Engineering.
It is an autonomous society. GT&TC is now adding new technologies like CAD / CAM, CNC machines for tooling, Precision Components, Laser for Industries, Rapid prototyping, vacuum casting, etc. The College offers final placements to students in various slots. The placement cell timely organizes aptitude skill tests, General orientation programs group discussions, etc. to improve the student skills and prepare them for the final interview. The main objective of the institute is to improve efficiency, innovate processes, and adopt technologies that meet the all requirements of the stakeholders.
