Indira Gandhi Institute of Engineering and Technology For Women, Ernakulam was established in 2007 under Indira Gandhi Memorial Trust. It is affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. The institute aims to equip students with technical knowledge and capabilities, flexibility and an understanding of the societal context of corporate world. It is set to be the foremost multi professional research led institution with special emphasis on career oriented education.
