Indore Institute of Science and Technology, commonly abbreviated as IIST Indore, is a research and education institute for engineering, science and technology. It is located in Indore and was established in the year 2003. The college is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV), Bhopal for engineering programs and is recognized by Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Madhya Pradesh and all courses are approved by AICTE.

Indore Institute of Science and Technology offers wide range of Technical courses in the fields of Mechanical, Electronics and Communication, Computer Science, Information Technology, Civil and Chemical Engineering at UG level and Machine Design, Computer Science & Engineering and Digital Communications at PG level.

Admission to the UG level are courses are based on the merit of the candidates as per Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) results and admission to the M.Tech courses are based on the results of the candidates in GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering).

Indore Institute of Science and Technology BE Admission 2023

IIST offers a number of B.E/ B.Tech courses at the Undergraduate level. The course is offered for a duration of four years. The intake capacity varies for different specializations.

For admission to the B.E/B.Tech courses, candidates should have passed their Qualifying Examination (10+2 or Equivalent), with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) and must have secured at least 45% aggregate in PCM. Those belonging to SC/ST/PD category should require an aggregate of at least 40% marks in the qualifying examination.

Candidates seeking admission will be selected for admission to B.Tech/B.E. program on the basis of their results in JEE (Main). Aspiring candidates can apply for JEE main examination through NTA official website.

Candidates those who clear JEE Main have to apply for centralised counselling conducted by DTE Madhya Pradesh. There they have to select the college and courses and lock their choices in preferential order. DTE MP will allocate the colleges and courses according to students’ choices. If seats remain vacant after the JEE Main DTE-MP counselling then remaining seats will be filled on merit basis.

DTE Counselling:

Counselling will be done in various phases.
First phase is for those who have secured ranks in JEE Main.
Second phase is for those who have not appear for JEE Main but have qualifying marks in Higher Secondary
Last phase is for those who either have JEE Main rank or qualifying marks but did not apply in first two phases.

Indore Institute of Science and Technology ME Admission 2023

At postgraduate level, IIST Indore offers Master of Engineering (M.E) program in the fields of Mechanical, Electronics and Communication, Computer Science. All these specializations are offered for a duration of two years. The intake capacity for each of the programs is 18 seats.

Students who want to pursue M.E./M.Tech. from Indore Institute of Science and Technology must have a degree in B.E/B.Tech. in the relevant discipline and should have completed their education in 10+2+4 pattern.

Admission to M.E program is done through GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering), however, the candidates must meet the eligibility criteria in order to get admission to IIST.

The students who are seeking admission on the basis of their Qualifying examination, need to directly apply for the Counseling done by DTE Madhya Pradesh.

Indore Institute of Science and Technology Application Process 2023

Applicants seeking admission to the B.E. program should register through the online admission portal available at the official IIST website
Upon successful submission of all the relevant details, applicants must download and take the printout of the generated “Bank Challan” for remitting the required application fee.
Applicants seeking admission should submit the fee in the bank with the help of “Challan” and obtain the transaction details.
Enter the bank transaction details using applicant’s login and upload the receipt of bank challan in order to complete the registration process.
Students who are willing to appear in GATE, need to pay the Application fee (INR 1500 for General/ OBC Male students and INR 750 for rest) in order to successfully complete their application.
