IIST Indore Admission 2024

IIST Admission 2024 will be done on the basis of the results in the respective entrance examinations like JEE Mains and GATE. Given below are the details of admission at IIST for its BTech and ME programs:

For the IIST BTech admission, candidates have to secure a valid JEE Main score and further have to apply for centralized counselling that is conducted by DTE Madhya Pradesh. Then they need to select the college and courses and also have to lock their choices in preferential order. Interested candidates can apply for the JEE Mains exam through the NTA official website.
For IIST ME admission, candidates have to qualify for the GATE examination.

Application Procedure:

For admission to the BTech program, candidates register through the online admission portal available at the official IIST website.
Enter all the relevant details
After submission, download and take the printout of the generated “Bank Challan” to pay the application fee.
Submit the fee in the bank with the help of “Challan”
Obtain the transaction details.
Using the applicant’s login enter the bank transaction details
Also, upload the receipt of the bank challan to complete the registration process.

IIST Indore Cutoff

IIST Indore cutoff 2024 will be based on the JEE Mains score followed by DTE MP counselling. However, the cutoffs released in 2023 will determine the range of cutoffs to be observed by the institute in 2024. IIST Indore Scholarships

The institute offers several scholarships to support the students financially. There are scholarships for B.Tech, B.Tech Lateral entry and M.Tech students based upon different criteria. Candidates also get a tuition fee waiver of 50%, 35%, and 25% depending upon the CGPAs they secure during the second, third, and final years of the course. Scholarship for BTech Lateral and ME:

B.Tech. Lateral Entry and Transfer of Students from other institutes in 2nd year & 3^rd Year: 36000/- (60% of Tuition Fee) in joining Year
ME: The fees for the ME program amounts to INR 45000 for each year. However, the IIST candidates will pay only INR 40,000.

Scholarship for the reserved categories:

Candidates belonging to the OBC and minorities will given a scholarship amount of INR 40,000 and INR 45,000 will be given to SC/ST candidates.
Total Scholarship Amount (Govt. & IIST Scholarship) should not exceed tuition fees of the course

IIST Indore Facilities

Hostel: Hostel facilities include Wi-Fi, laundry, medical assistance, and recreational amenities. Strict policies against ragging, smoking, and drinking, with compulsory 75% attendance. The institute has a separate hostel facility for both girls and boys each having the capacity of accommodating more than 250 students. Each room is equipped with modern amenities plus an attached bath and toilet. Medical assistance is available at the hostel and an ambulance is available at our college premises in case of emergency. The rooms are spacious and there are 3 cots in each room with wardrobes and study tables (with attached bathrooms). A multi-cuisine spacious canteen caters to the taste buds of students and provides hygienic food (breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner). Students have to pay an annual fee of INR 1,20,000 to avail all the hostel facilities.
Sports: Dedicated indoor and outdoor sports infrastructure like Pickle ball court, Basketball court, Table Tennis, Football court etc. Indoor Games: Table Tennis, Badminton, Karate, Judo, Chess, Carom, Gym, Yoga and Meditation Hall. Outdoor Games: Athletics, Football, Cricket, Pickle Ball, Basketball, Volleyball, Lawn Tennis, Handball, KhoKho, Softball, Baseball, Kabaddi.
Laboratories: The institute provides the finest labs for each department running in the institute. And, each lab is intended to complement the subjects related to the stream. There are also advance in-house labs like 3D Printer Lab, NABL Accredited Lab, Drone, Robotics, Aeromodelling, AIML with Intel i7 (434) and i5 (330) 12/13 Generation Computer.
Computer Labs: There are computer labs, operating round the clock and 365 days in a year. There are 1000 + PCs in addition to a number of laptops, servers, and WiFi access.
Transportation: The institute has a transportation facility for all the students as well as faculty members. To make it easier for keeping a real-time check on the route, all the buses are registered on an app that is easily available on google or the App store. Local indore students and students from Lebad/Manpur have to pay INR 15,000 p.a., whereas students from Dewas/Dhar must pay INR 25,000 p.a. to avail of the transportation facilities.
Library: There is an ample technical library covering the huge area of 15,000 sq ft. The library has a vast collection of magazines, books, journals, and periodicals to offer great help to students.
