IEM Kolkata Admission 2024: Courses, Eligibility, Selection Criteria, Application Procedure

The Institute offers a two-year full-Time Master of Business Administration (MBA) program which is affiliated to Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT). In addition, IEM Kolkata offers Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) program which is approved by AICTE.
The MBA program is offered with a duration period of two years whereas the PGDM program is of one year.

For admission to the MBA program, candidates must have a valid percentile in CAT (Common Admission Test) or JEMAT or IEMJEE and For PGDM candidate must have valid MAT score, Both selection process will be followed by GD and PI. However, applicants seeking admission in MBA/PGDM program must have completed Graduation in any stream with at least 50% marks.

IEM Kolkata offers undergraduate courses in the field of Engineering which leads to the award of the degree Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech). The duration period of the B.Tech program is four years. IEM Kolkata also accepts a lateral entry in the B.Tech program for which the course duration is three years.

Candidates willing to take admission in B.Tech. program has to go through WBJEE/ Joint Entrance Examination (Main) / IEMJEE.

In addition to the Engineering programs, IEM Kolkata offers Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) at the undergraduate level. Both the UG programs are offered with the duration period of three years.
To be eligible for admission to the BBA and BCA programs, candidates should have scored at least 60% marks in Class XII and X. For the BCA program, candidates must have passed 10+2 level examination or equivalent examination with English and Mathematics / Computer Science/Computer. 

Application / Information Practices/Statistics as subjects in the qualifying examination.
Admission to the BBA and BCA are done through IEMJEE followed by a counseling session.

At the postgraduate level, Institute of Engineering & Management also offers Master of Science (M.Sc) degree program in the field of computer Science. The the duration of M.Sc program is two years.
For M.Sc CS, candidate needs to at least 55% marks in Graduation with Computer Science / Applied Physical Sciences / Mathematics / other allied subject under Statistical or Mathematical or Computing Sciences as one of the main subjects of study. 
Admission to the M.Sc CS programme will be done through Post Graduate Entrance Test (PGET) or Joint Admission Test for M.Sc. (JAM) or IEMJEE.

IEM Kolkata offers postgraduate program in the field of Engineering which awards the degree of M.Tech (Master of Technology). The M.Tech program is provided under three different specializations. Each of the specialization is offered with the duration period of two years.
Admission to the M.Tech program requires B.Tech./B.E. degree or equivalent in the respective or allied areas with exceptional academic record and a valid score in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE).

Admission to the M.Tech program is done on the basis of rank scored in GATE/PGET/IEMJEE followed by GD, PI & counseling.

Application forms for different UG and PG courses are available on the official website of IEM, Kolkata. Students have to follow the given steps:

1. Visit the IEM, Kolkata official Website and click on Admission.
2. Click on IEMJEE Button.
3. After that click on Apply Now.
4. Enter personal and education details.
5. Choose a date and slot for the examination.
6. Submit the application form.
7. Hall ticket will be sent to you on the registered email id. 
8. Take the print out of Hall Ticket.

On Exam Date, carry the Hall Ticket and a Valid Id Proof.
