MIST Indore Admission 2024: Eligibility, Selection Criteria

Malwa Institute of Science & Technology (MIST Indore) is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV). It was established in 2007 to impart high quality technical education in Madhya Pradesh.

MIST Indore presently offers degrees in B.Tech, M.Tech and MBA. These programs are entrance based and admissions depend upon fulfillment of eligibility.

Admissions to the B.Tech program are given to students on the basis of JEE Mains and the counselling is conducted by DTE MP Counseling. Provided they should have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

M.Tech admissions are given to students who have a relevant B.Tech/B.E degree with 50% and are GATE qualified through DTE MP Counseling.

For MBA admissions students must have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline with 50% and must qualify either CAT/CMAT/XAT.

Admission registration and form can be filled both online and offline. The students can download the form from the official website for applying to the institute.

The recent placement analysis shows that an equal number of students had appeared for interviews across the 5 departments, but the Computer Science department bagged the maximum number of offers. The highest package offered till date is 4.5 LPA.

Admission Highlights 2023

MSIT will take admission in B.Tech on the basis of JEE Main score. For this centralised counselling will be conducted by DTE Madhya Pradesh. However there will be direct admission also for the remaining seats.

How to Apply For JEE Main?

• Visit the official website of JEE Main and click on “Fill Online Application Form”.
• Register by giving your personal details, to generate a user id and password.
• The application number will be generated after submitting the details for registration.
• The form requires personal details, address, and mobile number.
• You can set your security question and password to access the application for the future.
• Submit the application form by logging in with the same user id and password that you had set.

How To Apply for DTE MP B.Tech Counselling

Candidates are required to apply for online off-campus counseling 2023 for B.Tech admissions. They must follow the below given steps:

• Candidates must first register for the counseling on the official website of DTE MP.
• After registration the candidates will be asked to upload their documents for verification.
• Then the candidates will be asked to fill out the Online Preference Form and part payment of the tuition fee along with it.
• Finally the candidates will be notified about the seat allotment, and they would have to go to the respective institution to block their seat for admission.

M.Tech admissions at MIST Indore requires applicants to be GATE qualified. MSIT will take admission through Madhya pradesh DTE counselling.

MIST Indore M.Tech Admission Process

DTE MP M.Tech Counselling

Students can apply online on the official website of DTE MP for M.Tech admissions. They must fulfil the following given criteria in order to get selected for admissions:

• The admissions are offered to both GATE and non-GATE qualified students.
• Though the first preference is given to GATE qualified applicants.
• The students who are not GATE qualified can apply on the basis of the previous qualifying examination.
• General category students must score 50% (45% for the reserved category) to be eligible for admissions.

GATE 2023

GATE is required by those students who are willing to apply for a master’s or Ph.D. program. The section below throws light upon the registration and requirement of documents.

Documents Required

• Scanned photograph and signature 
• Valid Photo ID (Aadhaar Card/Passport/Driving License/PAN Card/Voter ID/College ID/Employee Identification Card/Notarized Affidavit with Photo, Signature, Date of Birth and Residential Address).
• Degree Certificate/Provisional Certificate/Course Completion Certificate.
• Copy of mark sheet of V /VI /VII semester.
• Final year students must submit Provisional Certificate Letter as per format issued by the Home of Institute/Dean/Registrar/Head of Dept.
• Candidates in the final year of AMIE have to submit their mark sheet for Section A of AMIE in case of professional equivalent qualifications.
• Caste Certificate/Disability or PwD Certificate (if applicable).
• Candidates pursuing a higher degree or masters have to submit the qualifying degree certificate.

How to Apply for GATE?

The applications are accepted through the official website of GOAPS. Where the applicant must register first to create a new registration using one unique email id.

MIST Indore will consider CMAT score through centralised DTE counselling. However they also consider CAT or XAT score in case of direct admissions.
