Goswami Ganesh Dutta Sanatan Dharma College (GGDSD), Chandigarh was established in 1973 in the revered memory of Goswami Ganesh Dutta Ji, who envisioned Chandigarh as a focal point of culture and saw it as a potential hub for Sanatanist activities. The college has been accredited 'A' Grade by the NAAC during the session 2011-12. The College is affiliated to Panjab University Chandigarh.

The College mission is to disseminate knowledge that grooms students to meet the highest standards of competence and professionalism, along with grounding them firmly in a sound value system.
The college has a sprawling campus extending over 16.5 acres of land in Sector 32, Chandigarh. It is situated in very healthy and congenial surroundings. It has a friendly and enriching ambience.

Placement Description:

The cell also organizes industrial trips to offer students a feel of the corporate sector and its nuances. Other than these, the Cell facilitates the students in seeking part time jobs with a concept of ‘Earn while you learn’ thereby enhancing their employability. Over the previous few sessions, around 70 reputed companies have periodically been coming to the college campus for placements.

Auditorium

Multipurpose auditorium having sitting capacity of 850 students, audio visual facility, state-of-the-art badminton courts, centrally air conditioned, fully Computerized Curtain System and four ante-rooms.

Seminar Hall’

The ‘Seminar Hall’ is Fully air conditioned with seating capacity of 150 persons. Seminar hall is extensively used for conducting various seminars, workshops, symposia, guest lectures, panel discussions etc.

NSS

The college runs two NSS units consisting of 100 volunteers each. The primary aim of NSS is to impart education through community service and to stimulate the participation of the volunteers in constructive and extension work in slums and backward villages, where they are encouraged and expected to solve the different problems faced by the inhabitants.

NCC

The college has been granted 2 NCC platoons comprising 52 cadets each. During each session, an NCC cadet has to attend 30 parades and 96 periods for the award of certificate.

Scholarship:

The college provides scholarships and concession to the deserving students of the institution. These efforts not only help and reward the deserving students, but also inculcate in them a drive to perform better. The meritorious and financially weak students are helped through these scholarships and concessions which amount to a tune of Rs. 20, 00,000.
