Northern Institute of Engineering & Technology (NIET), Alwar Admission 2024: Fees Structure, Placement, Entrance Exam

NIET Alwar offers B.Tech in 4 specializations along with a Diploma in Engineering & Technology. Lateral entry admissions are also offered in both B.Tech and Diploma. B.Tech course is affiliated to Rajasthan Technical University (RTU), Kota and Diploma course is affiliated to Board of Technical Education Jodhpur (BTER), Jodhpur.

For B.Tech, candidates must have 50% marks in 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Computer Science subjects. For Lateral Entry in B.Tech, a Diploma in Engineering or B.Sc with 45% marks is required.

For Diploma course, the minimum eligibility is 10^th with 50% marks. For Lateral Entry in Diploma, 10+2 qualification is required.

Admission to B.Tech is based on the score in JEE Main and counselling conducted through REAP. Admission to Diploma courses is done by BTER on the basis of marks secured in last qualifying examination.

Key Points:

• A relaxation of 5% shall be given to candidates belonging to the reserved category of Rajasthan only.
• As per rules established by competent authorities, 50% of seats shall be filled by candidates with JEE scores and 50% through merit as per marks obtained in class 10+2.
• Only those candidates who are domicile of Rajasthan are eligible to apply for REAP.
• There shall be no upper age limit for applying to Lateral Entry admissions.

The institute offers B.Pharm and D.Pharm courses at the Pharmacy level. The courses are affiliated to Rajasthan University of Health Sciences (RUHS), Jaipur.

Those seeking admissions are considered eligible if they have passed 10+2 in Science stream with minimum 50% marks in aggregate for B.Pharm and 45% marks for D.Pharm.

Admission to B.Pharm & D.Pharm is based on the marks/merit ranks obtained by candidates in the Pharmacy Entrance Exam conducted by RUHS.

Key Points:

• Out of total intake, 85% of seats shall be filled through Rajasthan Centralized Admissions (RCA) conducted by RUHS.
• The remaining 15% of seats shall be occupied under management quota seats.

NIET also offers admissions to BBA and MBA in 3 specializations. Candidates must have passed 10+2 with 50% for BBA and a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 50% marks for MBA.

Admission is done on the basis of valid CMAT score. However, management quota admission is based on the valid score in CAT or MAT. BBA admission is based on the merit in 10+2. The seats are allotted through counselling conducted by the competent authority at the state level.

• Out of 60 seats in MBA, 51 will be occupied through CMAT scores and remaining 9 seats are reserved for management quota.
• Those applying under management quota can apply on the basis of valid CAT or MAT scores.
• Candidates appearing in final year examination may apply for admission, subject to fulfillment of minimum eligibility criteria at the time of joining.
