PA College of Engineering Mangalore Admission 2024: Dates, Eligibility, Selection Criteria

PA College of Engineering offers Bachelor of Engineering degree course in six specializations at PA College of Engineering offers three-year Diploma in engineering courses in six specializations at under-graduation level; namely:

Candidate must have completed their 10+2 level of education. Selection is done on the basis of marks scored in Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET). The merit list will be prepared for all categories based on applicants’ marks in KCET.

Applicants who clear the cut-off score set by the college will be called for further admission process.

Key Points for B.Tech Admission:

• Total 640 seats are available for admission to B.E. Degree Course.
• Only unmarried applicants are eligible to apply.
• SC/ST/Category-I, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates must have a minimum aggregate of 40% in Physics, Mathematics with one of the optional subjects that include Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Electronics/Computer.

PA College of Engineering offers three-year Diploma in engineering courses in five specializations at under-graduation level. Candidates must have scored a minimum aggregate of 35% marks in Mathematics & Science. Selection is done on the basis of marks scored in the qualifying examination. The merit list will be prepared for all categories based on applicants’ marks in CET. Applicants who clear the cut-off score set by the college will be called for further admission process. 

PA College of Engineering offers two years full time MBA program in dual specialisation mode and M.Tech program under the PG program category. 

The allotment of the seats for both of the [program is done in the following manner:

Candidates appying for the prohram must have completed theor Graduation and particioate in the counselling pricess conducted by PGCET. 

Documents required while attending the counselling:

• Graduation marks card – Original and 2 copies
• Proof of entrance exam attended.
• Conduct Certificate from the institution last attended.
• Transfer Certificate from the institution last attended.
• Migration Certificate for Non Karnataka students.
• Passport Size photographs - 5 numbers.

Key Points for PG courses Admission:

• Total 72 seats are available for admission to M.Tech program out of which 20% seats are filled through Management Quota and rest 80% through PGECET/GATE score.
• Total 120 seats are available for admission to MBA program out of which 50% seats are filled through Management Quota and rest 50% through entrance exam scores.
• Karnataka candidates belonging to SC/ST/Category-I, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates, must have a minimum aggregate of 45%
• Students aspiring Government Quota/ Management quota seats have to appear for PGCET/GATE Examination.
• As per the rank, counselling is conducted by VTU for 80% seats of M.Tech and 50% seats of MBA degree course.
• The remaining seats will be filled through management quota.
• Candidates whose names are forwarded by VTU, after counselling, are required to report at the Admission Block, PA College of Engineering for the verification of documents.

PA College Of Engineering offers Ph.D. and M.Sc. (Engg.) in Research in various specializations. For Admission to Ph.D.,candidate must obtain Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology from VTU or other University in relevant discipline. Candidate must have a minimum CGPA of 6.75 out of 10. For M.Sc. (Engg.) by Research, candidate with B.E./B.Tech from recognised with 60% aggregate marks are eligible for admission. Selection of candidates to the Research courses is done on the basis of University Level Research Aptitude Test (ULRAT) conducted by VTU. The merit list will be prepared for all categories based on candidates’ marks. The Successful applicants will be called for Interview thereby allowed for provisional registration.

Key Points to remember for Research program Admission:

• Karnataka candidates belonging to SC/ST/Category-I/Physically Challenged or any other reserved category shall have a relaxation not exceeding 5% or equivalent grade.
