PDM Faculty of Engineering & Technology Admission 2023: Courses, Fees, Eligibility Criteria

PDM Faculty of Engineering & Technology is a division of PDM University, Bahadurgarh. It is a private institution established in 1999 aims to impart quality education. This is one of the faculties out of 12 at PDM University.

Only B.Tech and M.Tech programs are offered at PDM Faculty of Engineering & Technology currently. The courses offered are approved by the Government of Haryana.

Admissions are offered based on entrance exams. The applications for admissions are accepted through the common portal of PDM University. Applications begin from August each year for both B.Tech and M.Tech admissions. An application fee of INR 1000 is charged per course/per application submission. 

B.Tech aspirants can apply to any one of the 7 specializations that are offered by the Faculty. To be eligible for admissions, the students must have passed 10+2 and must qualify JEE Main. students who qualify this exam are considered on a priority basis for admission.

Students willing to apply for any 1 of the 3 specializations in M.Tech must have a relevant B.E/B.Tech degree in any discipline. They must also qualify the GATE to be considered for admissions.

Once students get admission to the desired course, they are offered scholarships depending upon their aggregate percentage in the previous qualifying exam. The scholarships can waiver tuition fee up to 100% also.

Eligibility Criteria

Passed 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry as compulsory subjects and have an aggregate of 55%.

B.Tech Admission Procedure 

How to Apply for JEE Main

• Visit the official website of JEE Main and click on “Fill Online Application Form”.
• Register by giving your personal details, to generate a user id and password.
• The application number will be generated after submitting the details for registration.
• The form requires personal details, address, and mobile number.
• You can set your security question and password to access the application for the future.
• Submit the application form by logging in with the same user id and password that you had set.

The applicants should be GATE qualified and must fulfill the basic eligibility criteria.

M.Tech Eligibility

Students can get admission to the M.Tech program if they have a relevant degree in B.E/B.Tech with 55% aggregate.

How to Apply for GATE?

The applications are accepted through the official website of GOAPS. Where the applicant must register first to create a new registration using one unique email id.

Documents Required

• Scanned photograph and signature 
• Valid Photo ID (Aadhaar Card/Passport/Driving License/PAN Card/Voter ID/College ID/Employee Identification Card/Notarized Affidavit with Photo, Signature, Date of Birth and Residential Address).
• Degree Certificate/Provisional Certificate/Course Completion Certificate.
• Copy of mark sheet of V /VI /VII semester.
• Final year students must submit Provisional Certificate Letter as per format issued by the Home of Institute/Dean/Registrar/Head of Dept.
• Candidates in the final year of AMIE have to submit their mark sheet for Section A of AMIE in case of professional equivalent qualifications.
• Caste Certificate/Disability or PwD Certificate (if applicable).
• Candidates pursuing a higher degree or masters have to submit the qualifying degree certificate.

The applicants can apply online on the official website for admission to the desired course of study. The process of how to submit the application form is as follows:

• firstly, students have to sign up/register online on the official website.
• Then, upload all necessary documents along with the passport-sized photograph.
• To complete the application students must pay a fee of INR 1000.
• On submission, an application number will be generated which is required at the time of admission. Thus, students must take 2 printouts for the same.
• The applicants can check the status of their application- Approved/Rejected using the application number as login id to access the application.
• Upon selection, the applicants will be intimated by the institution for counseling/admission.

Students falling in the following given categories of aggregate are eligible for scholarships in their first year of study only, which is one-time as well:

B.Tech Students

• Above 95% aggregate in the qualifying exam- 100% is reimbursed in tuition fee.
• 90% to 94.99% aggregate in the qualifying exam- 50% concession on tuition fee.
• 85% to 89.99% aggregate in the qualifying exam- 20% off on tuition fee.
• 80% to 84.99% aggregate in the qualifying exam- 15% reimbursement in tuition fee.
• 75% to 79.99% aggregate in the qualifying exam- 10% concession in tuition fee.
• 65% to 74.99% aggregate in the qualifying exam- 5% off on tuition fee.

M.Tech Students

The following scholarships depend upon the CGPA score in the University exams which is applicable for that respective year:

• 9.5 CGPA & above- scholarship of 25% on the annual tuition fee.
• 8.5 CGPA & above- scholarship of 20% on the annual tuition fee.
• 7.5 CGPA & above- scholarship of 15% on the annual tuition fee.
• Top 10 Outstanding Students- cash prize of INR 2,100 with a suitable award is awarded.

Other Scholarships

The fee structure for only 25% of the students who are domicile of Haryana will be based on merit-cum-means:

• 1/5th of the 25% of the students shall be granted full fee concession.
• 2/5th of the 25% of the students shall be granted 50% fee concession
• The remaining balance of 2/5th of the 25% shall be granted a 25% fee concession.
