Prakasam Engineering College (PEC) was established in 2001. It is sponsored by the Amma Education Society. The members of the foundation are eminent personalities in various walks of life such as education, research, industry, business and administration.

Library- Institute has a well-equipped library. The library is computerized and is stocked with thousands of books authored by authorities on the subject

• Course books like, general books for personality development; general knowledge, handbooks, reference books, yearbooks, etc. are also added to the collections.
• The library subscribes national & international subject journals, magazines of current interest along with national and regional dailies.
• The Library is fully duplex and it has capacity of 200 students at a time in its spacious reading halls.
• The library has a huge collection of volumes and subscribes to 50 periodicals, 550 CDs and DVDs.

Hostels-The Hostel of the PEC Institute provides such an ambience that the students feel their home presence. The hostel is well equipped with amenities like rooms are well furnished, airy, with attached bathrooms, proper housekeeping facilities. Mess arrangements are made on co-operative basis along with hygienic and good food.
