RGMCET Admission 2024: Cutoff, Courses, Fees, Eligibility, Application Form

RGMCET B.Tech Eligibility

• The eligibility for all B.Tech courses is the same. 
• Candidates should have passed the Intermediate Examination of AP State Intermediate Board of Education or equivalent examination with Maths, Physics, and Chemistry as main subjects. 
• They must have appeared for Andhra Pradesh EAMCET conducted by JNTUK Kakinada to obtain a valid rank. 

RGMCET B.Tech Selection Process

• Candidates have to register for the Andhra Pradesh EAMCET examination and score a valid rank.
• Candidates have to secure their preferred choices of college and courses via Online AP EAMCET counseling.
• The admissions happen based on the performance in the Entrance Examinations and web counseling.
• University publishes the final merit list of shortlisted candidates at the end of the process. 

How To Apply to the RGMCET B.Tech?

Documents required:

• Photocopy of fee payment receipt
• Photocopy of all mark sheets and certificate from 10th standard onwards
• Photocopy of AADHAAR card
• Photocopy of residential proof if required
• Photocopy of income certificate of parents if applicable
• Photocopy of Caste certificate if required

RGMCET offers full time, 2 years of regular M.Tech courses in various specializations. The details are given in the following two charts.

RGMCET M.Tech Eligibility

• Candidates should have passed the B.Tech in relevant branch from a valid university.
• They must have appeared for Andhra Pradesh PGECET conducted by APSCHE to obtain a valid rank. 

RGMCET M.Tech Selection Process

• Candidates must register for the Andhra Pradesh PGECET examination.
• Candidates must secure an appropriate rank in the PGECET Entrance Test.
• Online AP PGECET counseling is the second step where candidates have to opt for the college and course preference options.
• The admission happens based on the performance in the Entrance Examinations and web counseling.
• A list of finally shortlisted candidates is published by the University. 

How To Apply to the RGMCET M.Tech program?

Documents required:

• Photocopy of fee payment receipt
• Photocopy of all mark sheets and certificate from 10th standard onwards
• Photocopy of AADHAAR & Ration card
• Photocopy of residential proof if required
• Photocopy of income certificate of parents if applicable
• Photocopy of Caste certificate if required
• Passport size photo in .jpg or .jpeg format, size less than 50KB 
• Scanned black colored signature as .jpg or .jpeg, size less than 30KB

Procedure:

Candidates must register online through https://sche.ap.gov.in/pgecet and submit required documents and collect a soft copy of the application for further use.

RGMCET offers full time, regular Masters in Business Administration and Computer Application. The duration of courses is 2 years for MBA & 3 yrs for MCA. The details can be found in the following two charts.

RGMCET MBA & MCA Eligibility

• Candidates must have passed or appeared in graduation examination or any valid equivalent 10+2+3 degree.
• Candidates must have passed or have appeared in the final year Bachelor's degree examination with Mathematics as a subject.
• In case an aspirant does not have Mathematics in graduation, he/she must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Mathematics as a subject.
• They must have written Andhra Pradesh ICET conducted by APSCHE.
• A valid score in GATE.

RGMCET MBA & MCA Selection Process

• Candidates have to register and apply online for the GATE examination.
• Admission is based on the GATE score and PGECET exam rank conducted state wise. 
• The Convener of ICET examination prepares and finalizes the list of shortlisted candidates for admission. 
• The admission is purely merit-based and as per the merit list of ICET conducted by the APSCHE. 

How To Apply to the RGMCET MBA & MCA program?

• IIT Bombay is going to conduct the GATE 2021 Examination. Candidates are advised to check their official website for detailed notification.
• Candidates must apply to the AP ICET exam through its official website. The procedure is the same as previously mentioned AP PGECET. https://sche.ap.gov.in/ICET/ICET/ICET_HomePage.aspx is the official website that furnishes all the details. 

RGMCET Ph.D. Eligibility

• Candidates must secure at least 55% in Post Graduation in relevant streams. SC/ST Candidates must score a minimum 50%. 
• MCA degree holders can not pursue Ph.D./M.Phil. in Computer Science and Engineering.

RGMCET Ph.D. Selection Process

• Candidates must register for the University Entrance Test and opt for the examination to score an appropriate rank.
• The admissions happen based on the performance in the Entrance Examination.
• According to the ranking obtained, candidates go through the interview schedule. 
• List of shortlisted candidates who clear both steps satisfactorily will be published by the University. The decision of the University is final.

How To Apply to the RGMCET Ph.D. program?

Documents required: 

• Hall Ticket and Score/Rank card of the UGC-JRF/UGC-CSIR-JRF/GATE/ with valid score/ FDP qualified
• School Secondary, Higher Secondary Certificate
• PG & UG Degree Certificates
• PG & UG Degree Marksheets
• Transfer Certificates if applicable

Procedure:

• All the required documents have to be photocopied and submitted duly attested along with the filled and signed application form downloaded from Official University Website www.jntua.ac.in.
• Candidates have to send a D.D. for Rs.1500/- also, drawn in favor of The Registrar, JNTUA payable at Ananthapuramu.
• Filled in application, along with relevant documents and the Demand Draft should be sent to the office of the Director, Directorate of Admissions, JNTUA, Ananthapuramu 515002 on or before the declared date and time.
