SAIT offers BE courses in various specializations. The program is offered in full-time regular mode for 4 years.

Various BE specializations along with seat intake for admission 2021 are:

• Electronics & Communication Engineering - 180 seats
• Mechanical Engineering- 180 seats
• Civil Engineering- 180 seats
• Computer Science Engineering - 180 seats 
• Information Science Engineering - 20 seats`

Eligibility Criteria

• Pass in 10+2 examination with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/Biotechnology/Computer Science/Biology/Electronics as recognized by V.T.U.
• Minimum 45% aggregate in Science. (40% for SC/ST and other OBC students applicable to Karnataka students).

Selection Criteria

Admission is through counselling based on the rank/ score obtained in the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) and COMED-K conducted by Karnataka examination authority. Only qualified candidates with a valid rank will be able to participate in KCET 2021 Counselling. 

Key Points for BE Admission:

• 50% of the total seats will be filled through KCET and JEE Main exam.
• 25% of the total seats will be filled through COMED-K and the remaining 25% will be filled through management quota.
• Candidates belonging to OBC/SC/ ST category get a relaxation of 10% marks in the aggregate score.

Steps of KCET 2021 Counselling

• 3 rounds of counselling namely – Verification, Option entry, Allotment of Seats takes place.
• To simplify the counselling stages there is a rank wise division of dates/time slots to visit the helpline centres for the verification of documents.
• Training is provided to the candidates for option entry across all the available helpline centres.
• The last step is allotment of seats which is done as per the preferences of the candidate and availability of seats.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must have completed B.E./B.Tech. in relevant branches of engineering from a UGC recognized University and must have secured a minimum % 50 aggregate in the subjects taken together.
• Candidates who are in the final year and expecting the results are also eligible to apply.
• Candidates belonging to Karnataka - OBC/SC/ ST category get a relaxation of 5% marks in the aggregate score.

Selection Criteria

• Selection is completely based on the marks scored in GATE and Karnataka PGCET.
• Candidates with valid GATE score are given first preference and such candidates need not appear for Karnataka PGCET.

Karnataka PGCET 2021 Counselling Process

• Firstly, the rank holders need to report at the helpline centres for registration.
• During the registration process, candidates will be briefed about the option entry and seat allotment for Karnataka PGCET.
• In the second stage, candidates will have to get the document verified at the helpline center.
• In the third stage, candidates need to enter options online. In other words, they need to choose the course/ college of their choice. Option entry is done online.
• After the options have been entered, the seat allotment process begins.

Eligibility Criteria

• Bachelor’s Degree from any University in any discipline with 50% marks in aggregate (including languages).
• SC/ ST category candidates get a relaxation of 5% marks in the aggregate score.

Selection Criteria

Selection for the program will be done on the basis of entrance test score- CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ ATMA/ PGCET/ KMAT Entrance Exam score followed by Aptitude test, Oral Presentation, and Personal Interview.
