What's New in SMIT?
SMIT Sikkim Admission 2024 is ongoing for UG and PG courses. The last date to apply for SMIT B.Tech Admission 2024 is April 12, 2024. Sikkim Manipal Entrance Test (SMET) 2024 will be held from April 14, 2024 to April 20, 2024. Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology MBA Admission 2024 is open till June 25, 2024.
Other Updates are as follows:
- The last date to apply for SMIT BBA/ BCA/ B.Tech Lateral Entry Admission 2024 is June 10, 2024.
- The SMET 2024 application fee is INR 500.
- Students can also apply for B.Tech through JEE score till July 05, 2024.
Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology (SMIT), located in East Sikkim, was established in 1997. It is the first technological campus in Sikkim. Also, it is the only institute in East India to have an Atal Incubation Center funded by NITI Aayog, Government of India.
SMIT, East Sikkim offers admissions in 11 leading degree programs in Science, Engineering, and Management at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. Admissions in undergraduate programs at SMIT are offered in B.Tech, BBA, BCA, and B.Sc.
- B.Tech admissions require students to have passed 10+2 with 50% in PCM or 60% in Diploma and qualify JEE / MET/ SMIT online entrance.
- B.Sc./BBA/BCA aspirants must have 50% in 10+2 to be eligible for admissions.
Postgraduate admissions at SMIT are offered in M.Tech, MBA, MCA, and M.Sc. The eligibility criteria and selection process for the same varies.
- Aspirants wanting to pursue M.Tech must have a BE or B.Tech in relevant branches with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks along with valid scores in the GATE/SMIT Entrance Exam.
- MBA aspirants must have 50% (45% for reserved categories) in Bachelors's in any discipline with either MAT & CAT or University entrance exam.
