The admission process for B.Tech program is based on the merit in qualifying examination and entrance examination. Candidates have to appear for COMEDK. The minimum eligibility criterion to apply for a B.Tech program is passed in 10+2 from a recognized university. The Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka is conducted for the admission in B.Tech or B.E programs at 181 engineering

colleges which are affiliated to the Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka.

The minimum eligibility to apply for the entrance examination is that the candidate should be passed in 10+2 and should be of Indian Nationality.

The application fee for the COMEDK is Rs. 1200. Candidates can apply for a course online from the college’s official website and submit at the college campus.

• There is a relaxation of 5% for SC/ST/OBC Karnataka Candidates in the percentage of 10+2
• Candidates should have physics and maths as mandatory subjects in 10+2 along with any of the following subjects - Chemistry, Bio Technology, Computer Science, Biology, and Electronics.

The college offers three specialized courses M.Tech program. The admission is based on the merit in entrance examination and qualifying examination. The minimum eligibility to apply for M.Tech program is that the candidate should be passed in graduation in a relevant field from a recognized university.

GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) is conducted by Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee. The exam is conducted for admission in M.Tech and Ph.D courses in various Institutes/Universities in India. The application form is available online and the mode of examination is also online.

The minimum eligibility to apply for gate for M.Tech program is that the candidate should be passed in Integrated/Master’s degree program in Engineering/Technology.

The application fee for the GATE is as follow:

Women Candidate – Rs. 750/-

SC/ST/PWD/ category candidates – Rs. 750/-

All other Candidates – Rs. 1500/-

• The candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree in the respective field of engineering relative to the M.Tech course for which he/she is applying.

PGCET is a post graduate common entrance test conducted by Karnataka Government. It is conducted in paper-pencil mode. KMAT is Karnataka Management Aptitude test for admission in MBA and MCA in various colleges.

The minimum eligibility to apply for M.Sc program is that the candidates should be passed in BE/B.Tech from VTU affiliated university or equivalent and appear for entrance test.

The candidate should be qualified in GATE or University Level Research Aptitude Test, which is valid for a period of three years.
