Candidates seeking admissions to the BMS program must satisfy the below-mentioned eligibility criteria:
- Candidates must be passed in their 10+2 examinations from the Maharashtra Board of Higher Education or equivalent.
- Candidates must pass in any of the Arts, Science or Commerce streams with minimum eligible scores.
HR College BMS Admission Guidelines
Admissions to the BMS program of HR College of Commerce and Economics, Mumbai are solely based on the candidate’s performance in the last qualifying examinations. No separate entrance test is conducted by the university or institute itself. However, candidates who fulfill the above mentioned eligibility criteria will only be called to complete the further admission process.

HR College BMS Course Details
The college offers BMS courses for a duration of 3 consecutive academic years. Each academic year is further divided into two semesters. Below mentioned are more details related to the course.
Course Structure: The BMS program comprises a total of 6 semesters. Semester - I and Semester - II of the first year comprises a total of 14 papers (7 each). The second year of the course comprises five papers each. Electives are offered from the commencement of the second year. Students are required to choose a minimum of two electives in Semester - III and Semester IV.
Evaluation Pattern: The evaluation of the BMS program is done on the basis of the below-mentioned criteria:
- Internal Assessments: Internal Assessments include Class Tests/ Projects which carry 25 marks of the total.
- Semester End Examinations: SEE is conducted at the end of each semester and carries 75 marks of the total.
The aggregate of internal and semester-end examinations is taken in calculating the final performance of the candidate in the three-year program. Grace marks are also provided to candidates.
Passing Standards: Candidates are required to maintain a minimum of 40% marks in the Internal Assessments and 40% marks in Semester End Examinations separately to pass a course.
Attendance: Students are required to maintain a minimum attendance of 75% in theory as well as practical classes out of the total number of lectures, practicals and tutorials conducted in the term. Students who fail to achieve 75% attendance will not be allowed to appear for end-semester examinations.
