YCIS Satara was established in 1958 and was christened in 1986. It is a reputed government-aided science institute and is affiliated to Shivaji University, Kolhapur (SUK). The institute has been accredited and re-accredited by NAAC with an ‘A’ grade.

Candidate must possess a B.Sc degree in relevant discipline except for Biotechnology.

Selection Criteria

The selection of the candidates will be done on the combined merit basis of Entrance Exam (50%) and the qualifying examination (50%) of Shivaji University, Kolhapur.
Category Reservation criteria are as per the govt. rule and management quota is 15% merit-based.
Entrance Examination for M.Sc is conducted online
- The pattern will be MCQ based and each question carries 2 marks.
- The total duration will be 1 hour and will be conducted online.
- Syllabus includes: 10% each for B.Sc Part I & II; 80% from Part III of the concerned subject.
