Vellamal College of Engineering & Technology Admission 2024: Cut Off, Reservation, Scholarship

The college offers B.E and B.Tech undergraduate courses. Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with at least 50% average marks put together of all three subjects. Applicants belonging to Tamil Nadu only will be considered for admission.

Admissions to B.E/ B.Tech is based on the marks obtained by the candidates in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and admissions will be conducted through TNEA counselling.

Key points:

• Children of Central Government employees will also be eligible for admissions even if they are not domiciled residents of the state, provided their parents have been serving in Tamil Nadu for past 5 years.
• Children of All India Service Tamil Nadu Cadre officers are eligible to apply.
• Applicants who are not the residents of the state but have completed their 8^th, 9^th, 10^th, 11^th, 12^th from Tamil Nadu will be eligible to apply for admissions without having to enclose their nativity certificate.

The college offers M.E in 5 specializations. Candidates must hold B.Tech/ B.E degree with at least 50% marks. Relaxation of 5% will be given to the candidates of the reserved categories.

VCET Madurai admits students to PG courses through TANCET, the state level entrance exam conducted by Anna University.

Counseling of the candidates will be conducted through Tamil Nadu Common Admissions (TANCA) for final selection.

Key points:

• Applicants who have a valid GATE score need to apply through the separate forms available for GATE qualified candidates.
• GATE qualified candidates will not have to appear for the written entrance exam.
• The TANCET 201 rank will be reduced after normalization of marks obtained by the candidates in the entrance test.
• After counseling schedule is announced, candidates will have to attend TANCA 2020 process for verification of documents, seat allotment and confirmation of admission process.
