The MBA-UMG is offered by Xavier Centre for Urban Management and Governance (UMG). The program was developed recently under XUB. The program is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills to grow and run sustainable and adaptive urban places and systems.
Features of the course
The top recruiters for MBA-UMG are Sarda Group, Ernst & Young, JLL, Quess Corp, Tractebel GKW GmbH, Recity Network Pvt. Ltd., CURE, IBI Group, BSCL, Convexicon Software SolutionsIndia Pvt. Ltd., O.B. & C.C., PWD, Govt. of Odisha, CFAR, IASCC.
The placements are not at par with the fee, but the brand value of XIMB makes the branch of UMG worth pursuing. Apart from the above-listed features, the college also has an excellent infrastructure, organizes fest, with decent placements.
SIBM Pune and XIMB both offer courses in MBA, with specializations in various fields, including Executive MBA and diploma programs. If you choose to enroll in SIBM Pune, you can benefit from a highly accomplished alumni network, including executives from leading corporate houses. This can provide you with excellent opportunities for corporate exposure and interactions with alumni, which can be highly beneficial for your future career prospects.
When considering ROI and Placements, SIBM Pune stands out as the better option. The fees for XIMB BM and HRM are approximately INR 20,67,000, including hostel fees for the entire course duration, while the average salary for XIMB graduates increased by 15.77% in Placement 2022, standing at INR 17.54 LPA. The decision to spend these 22 Lakhs in two years is worth it, if you do not fall in any of these categories.

Thus, XIMB Bhubaneswar is really a very good institute that will propel your career if you have the interests and do your work properly.
Summer internships are part of the curriculum at XIMB and are graded with a certain number of credits. So, it is necessary for every student to do a summer internship compulsorily. Thus it is made sure by the institute itself that every student gets an internship for the summers. So, it is entirely false that XIMB does not have 100% summer internship placements. Some students do find better offers than given in the campus placements and thus they opt out of the process. Otherwise, placements are handled by the institute itself.
Also, do not think of summer internships as final placements. You may not get an internship at a reputed company, but you will get an internship for sure. Final placements are a whole different game than summer placements. There have been instances where students who have done internships at smaller companies have landed top jobs during final placements. So, it actually matters less which company you did an internship for, rather grades, business acumen is more important for final placements. You should focus on studies, participating in business school competitions to hone your skills and you will definitely do well in your placements.
Standing away from the crowd, XIMB Bengaluru weaved sustainability management with MBA. XIMB Bhubaneswar is ranked sixth among the top 100 private B-Schools of India in the Education-World India Private B-Schools Ranking 2020-21.

My personal advice would be to go for this course. Experience in this field will upscale your resume and make you appear unique among many others.
It seems you are unsure about the branch you are interested in. Both PGDM and HR are diverse branches and one needs to first determine the field they are interested in only then they can make a sound decision.
If you are interested in HR, then choose XIMB HR without any second thoughts. It's the best HR program in the country. However, it's important to note that in this field your academics and profile building matter more than anything. Xavier School of HRM will provide ample opportunities for you.
An MBA in HR requires you to scale up for which you need a better skill set and a better learning experience that you can get at XIMB and not Tapni. However, if you are unsure of your interests, go for a PGDM in Tapmi.
