Indira Gandhi Engineering College located in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh is a government aided autonomous engineering college established in the year 1981. The college was affiliated initially with Sagar university, but since the year 2000 it has been affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, Bhopal, MP. The college is recognized by the statutory body AICTE which stands for All India Council for Technical Education.

Indira Gandhi Engineering College (IGEC) offers Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree program with an annual intake of 270 seats. The duration of the B.Tech course is four years.
The candidates must have passed 10+2 from Madhya Pradesh Secondary Board or any equivalent exam from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry and Maths as compulsory subjects with at least 45% marks (for SC and ST candidates the criteria is 40%).
