Government Engineering College (GEC), Bharuch, Gujarat started its functions from the year 2004. The college is affiliated to Gujarat Technological University (GTU).

GEC Bharuch B.E Admission 2023
The college offers B.E in 5 specializations. The minimum eligibility to apply for BE is that candidates should have passed 10+2 with at least 45% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
The admission for the year shall be granted on the basis of merit list of GUJCET . GUJCET is conducted by Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB). The merit list is prepared by taking into account 60% of marks obtained by the candidate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in HSC and 40% of marks in GUJCET.
Candidates with a valid JEE score are also eligible for admission and are exempted from GUJCET.

Key points:
- Percentage criterion in the qualifying examination is relaxed by 5% for SC/ST students.
- Candidates appearing in JEE need not appear in GUJCET.
- 50% seats shall be filled from the candidates who have passed JEE Main.
- Admissions for these seats shall be filled by counseling process of the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA).
GEC Bharuch Application Process 2023
Candidates applying for GUJCET should submit Demand Draft of INR 300 as application fee at help centers to get User ID and Password. This ID is then to be used to fill application forms at the official website of GECB.
After submission of application form, candidates should take its print out for further counseling process.
GEC Bharuch Reservation Criteria 2022
Seat allotment in GEC is done considering the reservation provision of the government. Reservations for various categories are as follows:

A candidate seeking admission on reserved seat shall be required to produce a certificate of inclusion in the concerned category. Provided that the candidate belonging to Socially and Educationally Backward Classes, she/he shall be required to produce a certificate to the effect of non-inclusion in Creamy Layer in addition to the caste certificate.
No caste certificate shall be valid unless it is duly stamped, signed and issued by the authority empowered by the Government of Gujarat.
