ACT Chennai Admission

The admissions to the UG and PG courses at Alagappa College of Technology are entrance-based. The selection criteria for the courses are mentioned below:

UG Admission: Admission to B.Tech. courses are purely based on marks obtained in the Higher secondary examination. The admission is done through a single-window system conducted by Anna University. Candidates need to register for TNEA. Merit lists/Ranks are prepared on the basis of 10+2 marks and then counselling is conducted based upon the ranking.
PG Admission: Candidates must have a valid GATE score or a recent TANCET score. Ranks Lists will be released based upon the GATE/TANCET score. Then counselling is done based upon this ranking.

The Alagappa College of Technology has a common training and placement cell which invites companies from the various sectors to recruit the students. Central Library- The Institute library is located in the center and has a collection of 2000 volumes of textbooks (technical) and several research publications.40 journals specialized in the field of Biotechnology are also available.
Extracurricular space- Separate spaces have been allocated to the extracurricular activities including sports: Tennis court, Basketball courts, Badminton court, Football field, and Volleyball, etc.
Hostel- In campus Boys and Girls both hostels are available.
Laboratories- Bioprocess Lab, Immunology Lab, Animal Cell Culture Lab etc. are available in the institute.

The course is good because we were nurtured at CLRI, which is one of the best institutes for leather in all of Asia.
Placements for students here at Algappa College of Technology, for M.tech in Food Technology, are really good and encourage students to work harder to secure a good position as an employee.
Since the fee was very nominal, and since all of us had the scholarship, none of our classmates availed loans.
From sports to functions, the university surely knows how to balance academics and non-academic activities together.
The registration process is quite easy; they will assist you as soon as you complete the admission process

Basically, enrollment into this college takes place via TNEA Counselling, and you can easily get into this college if you have a cutoff above 185 out of 200. I had a cutoff of 189 and got the course. The cutoff is calculated using the marks you scored in your 12th-class exams. You can find the application form and all sorts of things on the TNEA website. The admission process is perfect and I don't expect anything else to be changed.
