- The course curriculum is very good, but some courses, like Android, need to be added. Moreover, the industrial exposure is not well provided. As for the faculties, there are some brilliant ones, but there are also some screen readers among them.
- No, in our college, they will not provide any internships. We will be doing in-house projects. If the project is good, then they will try to write a paper on it and submit it to the project committee.
- Its the best as you can see all priorities of the companies coming for the placements.

- Everything was in Tamil in the college, and coming from Mumbai, I could hardly comprehend what they were talking about.
- The hostel conditions were actually quite bad with more than three to four people in a single room

CEG Guindy Admission 2024
College of Engineering Guindy offers admission to the courses on the basis of various entrance exams. Students must have a valid score in the respective entrance exam for a particular course.
- Admission to the B.E/B.Tech is done through Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA).
- For admission to courses like M.E, M.Tech, MBA, MCA, students need to appear for TANCET (Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test).
- Students with a valid score in GATE are offered direct admission in M.Tech.
- Admission to the M.Sc and M.Phil programs are done through an Entrance Examination followed by a Counseling round conducted by Anna University.
Students can visit the official website to download the application form. Fill the form very carefully and make a payment of INR 700 (INR 350 for SC/SCA/ST candidates). The application fee must be paid online. The completed application form should be sent to “The Director, Centre for Admission, Anna University, Chennai – 600025”.
The college releases a merit list for each course separately based on marks obtained in entrance exams. Students will be further called for the counseling process at Anna University.

- Hostels: In the city of Chennai, the college provides the best hostels facility. There are total of 16 hostels and named after the flowers. Out of 16 hostels, 5 hostels are reserved for Girls. These hostels are offered only to Undergraduate students. For international and NRI students provide separate accommodations. Hostels provide well-furnished rooms and hygienic meals (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner).
- Library: Library of the college has a collection of books, magazines, journals, eJournals and other useful databases. Facilities for internet browsing and e-services are also available in the library for the convenient of students. It has over 1.5 lakh books and digital learning services.

Which should I choose, College of Engineering (Guindy) or NIT Puducherry?
NIT Puducherry is very new compared to College of Engineering Guindy (CEG). Let me share some points which might help you decide.
- CEG is very old and experienced as an educational institution. It has well-established CSE and ECE departments with exceptional and updated lab facilities.
- The syllabus is more or less similar in both colleges.
- CEG has a more competitive student crowd which eventually helps students to boost their morale.
- Due to its years of educational experience, CEG definitely has a better placement record than NIT Puducherry.
