CGPIT Admission 2024: Eligibility, Selection Criteria, Application Process

Chhotubhai Gopalbhai Patel Institute of Technology, Bardoli offers education in the field of Engineering at UG, PG, and Doctorate level. The course available at UG level is B.Tech in 10 specializations, at PG level CGPIT offers M.Tech in 9 specializations. Institute offers Diploma in Engineering in 4 specializations and a Doctorate program in 3 specializations.

CGPIT Surat conducts its admission process through the proper State Level Entrance Exam and counseling process.

Students who have passed 10+2 in PCM from a recognized Board are eligible to apply for B. Tech programs.
The admission to B.Tech program is done through a counseling process through Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET).
Candidates seeking admission into Diploma in Engineering will be admitted through the merit of class 12 examinations.
For M.Tech program, candidates who have completed BE or B. Tech course in relevant discipline with minimum 50% marks are eligible to apply for admission.
In order to get admission to B.Tech and M.Tech programs, candidates must apply online for GUPGCET and Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET) respectively, are conducted as per the norms of Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC).
CGPIT offers a doctorate level program in Ph.D, for admission to Ph.D candidates will be selected on the basis of merit in the entrance test conducted by the Uka Tarsadia University (UTU).
In case of Management seats reserved in B.Tech and M.Tech courses, candidates will have to apply directly at the institute.

CGPIT Surat B.Tech and Diploma in Engineering Selection Process:

B.Tech	Selection of the candidate will be based on the rank obtained in Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET Exam) and further counseling process conducted by Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC)
Diploma in Engineering	Selection of the candidate will be based on the merit obtained in 10th or 12th Examination

Notes:

Up to 5% relaxation is given to reserved category candidates.
Out of the total seats, 75% of seats will be filled through counseling conducted by ACPC, and the remaining 25% is reserved as management seats.
As per the norms of ACPC B.Tech admissions will be carried out through the web-based online admission process.

CGPIT, Surat M.Tech Eligibility criteria:

Candidates must have completed B.E./B.Tech. Or equivalent examination with minimum 50% (45% for SC/ST/SEBC candidates) for seeking admissions from any recognized University.
Candidates whose final results or the result of any backlog are awaited can apply provided they pass the qualifying examination.

CGPIT, Surat M.Tech Selection Process:

Admission is through a counseling process based on the rank obtained in Gujarat PGCET Exam 2021.
Candidates have to select the college at the time of counseling.
Based on the rank obtained and college selected, seat allotment will be done
Selected candidates will be informed through a call.
All the selected candidates need to report at the college for further admission process along with valid documents.

Note: Students who have qualified GATE exam are exempted from PGCET.

CGPIT, Surat Ph.D Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates have a Master’s Degree in the subject concerned or in related subject with at least 55% marks in aggregate.
The admissions to Ph.D are conducted as per the norms of UTU, Gujarat.
A relaxation of 5% of marks or an equivalent relaxation of grade, is allowed to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-Able candidates.
Only candidates who qualify with a minimum of 50% marks in the entrance will be invited for admissions.

CGPIT, Surat Ph.D Selection Criteria:

Candidate has to be present in the Ph.D Entrance Test conducted by UTU Gujarat.
Those candidates who have cleared the UGC/ JRF /NET Exam or equivalent will be exempted from written test only.
Selected candidates list will be displayed on the official website and called for Group Discussion Interview.
Final merit will be based on Entrance score, Group Discussion, and Interview.

How to Apply for CGPIT?

The application process for all the courses offered by college will be done through an admission process. Applicants need to follow a sequence of steps to apply for the desired course. These steps are mentioned as follows:

B.Tech & M.Tech –

The applicants have to procure PIN Cover by paying the requisite fees for each discipline in cash only from the designated branches of Kotak Mahindra Bank (the list is made available on website www.jacpcldce.ac.in).
Candidates are required to pay Rs. 350/- for B.Tech and Rs.1000/- for M.Tech as application/registration fee.

The application form is made available for download on the official website www.utu.ac.in or Download here.

The duly filled in application form and submit along with necessary documents personally/by post or by courier at the UTU office. T
The application fee has to be paid via DD of Rs.1500/- issued in favor of Uka Tarsadia University (UTU).
