Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Engineering College of Information Technology (BRAECIT), also known as the Rajkiya Engineering College, was established by the Government of Uttar Pradesh in the year 2010. The institute currently offers B. Tech programs in three branches, viz. Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Information Technology, with an annual intake of 60 in each branch. Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Engineering College of Information Technology (BRAECIT) is also a constituent institute of Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow (Formerly Uttar Pradesh Technical University).
- 10+2 in science stream with minimum 40% marks for B. Tech programs.
- Candidates must have physics and mathematics as compulsory subjects.
- Only UPSEE qualified candidates are eligible for counselling and admission.
- Candidates are selected on the basis of marks scored in UPSEE.
- Only those candidates who meet the minimum cut-off percentile (25% usually) are selected for counselling.
- Engineering diploma holders and/or B.Sc. graduates can apply for Lateral Entry to B. Tech second year (third semester)
- Only online mode of application is allowed. The same goes for fee payment.
- Application fee is Rs.1200 for General category candidates. For SC/ST candidates, application fee is Rs.600/- only.
- Seats are reserved for candidates belonging to reserved categories as per norms set by the Government of India.

Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Engineering College of Information Technology (BRAECIT) offers B. Tech courses in 3 disciplines, viz. Information Technology, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. The minimum eligibility criteria for admission to the B. Tech courses offered by the institute is 10+2 in science stream with Physics and Mathematics as the compulsory subjects and any of the following additional subjects – Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology. A minimum qualifying percentile of 45% is required of all applicants.
- Selection of candidates is done on the basis of marks/ rank secured by the applicant in UPSEE

Candidates can apply by requesting the prospectus along with the application form upon paying the registration fee of INR 1200 via credit/ debit card or net-banking. Submission of application form and payment of fees can be done only through online mode.
- Provision for Lateral entry in B. Tech third semester (second year) for Engineering Diploma holders or B.Sc. Graduates with Mathematics as one of the subject at standard
- The minimum qualifying aggregate in 10+2 for reserved category candidates is 40%
- The cut off percentage of marks in UPSEE is 25% (20% for SC/ST) as per UP State Govt. order
- Allotment of seat will depend upon availability of the seats on the day of counseling.
BRAECIT Registration 2023
Applications for appearing in UPSEE can be submitted through online mode only. Candidates are required to fill the application form online through the official website upon filling all the requisite particulars.
- Application fee payment must be done online via credit/ debit card or net-banking. No other mode of payment is allowed
- All candidates must secure the minimum qualifying percentile in order to be eligible for counselling and seat allotment.
- Candidates should keep the printout of the Confirmation page for record
- Candidates are also advised to note down the Application Form Number for any future correspondence
- There is no age limit for admission to the courses covered under UPSEE
