Asian Academy of Film and Television (AAFT) is a private film school which was established in 1993 and is located in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. It is affiliated to the International Film and Television Research Centre. AAFT was approved as an international-level training centre by City & Guilds in 2002. The undergraduate courses offered by Asian Academy of Film & Television include a B.Sc. followed by a four-year Bachelor of Design (B.Des.). Other UG courses include a BA course and a Bachelor of Performing Arts (BPA).

The college also offers many postgraduate courses like M.Sc., MA and a Master of Performing Arts (MPA). AAFT also offers one year diploma courses in Animation, Multimedia, VFX, Public Relation & Events and Advertising & Brand Communication and some short term courses in Still Photography & Journalism and Sound Recording & Radio Production.

Candidates applying to the UG (B.Sc., BA, B.Des. and BPA) and Diploma courses should have passed their Higher Secondary (10+2) or any equivalent examination from a recognized board of education such as CBSE/ICSE/IGCSE/IB and State Board. Admissions to the PG courses is done for candidates who have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

Admissions for all the courses are done on the basis of an Aptitude test followed by a round of personal interview. The facility of an Online Aptitude Test followed by a telephonic interview exists for outstation/international applicants.

How to Apply for AAFT?

Candidates can download the application form from the college website.
The application form needs to fill with all the correct details and required documents must be sent to the campus over at the campus.
Candidates will have to deposit the initial fees of INR 20,600/- ( INR 20,000/- for Diploma/PG Diploma Courses) through a Demand Draft drawn in the favour of ‘ Asian Academy of Film and Television’ payable at Noida.
Application Fees: INR 600.

Step 1: Application Form:

Download the application form and Prospectus from the Counsellors in the Campus from Monday to Saturday, between 10am to 6pm, upon paying the requisite fee.
The applicants also have the option to download the application form for offline submission.
The duly filled Application form then needs to be submitted along with the mandatory documents.

Step 2: Entrance Test & Interview process: On Successful payment of registration fees, candidates have to follow the given steps-

(Written / Online test- Questions will be based on the course or the specially program applied for.
Personal Interview: After a written test, personal Interview or Telephonic or Skype Interview will be conducted.

Step 3: Result Declaration: The final result will be conveyed to the student through E-mail registered with the admission department, within 3 days.

Step 4: Admission Confirmation: Successful candidates will be provided with the admission letter from the admissions department confirming his/her admission to the opted programs. Thereupon, the applicant is required to submit the confirmation Fee as initially communicated by the admission counsellor.

Step 5: Original Documents submission: All the original Certificates/ Documents, along with one set of attested true copies of the documents in support of their claim at the time of filling up of Application Form for Admission, will have to be presented to the Admission Department at the time of the reporting for the verification. It is mandatory to get the Receipt-cum-Acknowledgement duly signed by the Admission Department.

Ques. When the certification courses are available to join?

Ans. The certification courses are available for 3 or 6 months in a year and its batch starts during January/ April/ July/ October 4 times in a year.

Ques. How to avail hostel accommodation?

Ans. Admission to the Hostel is done on the first come first serve basis. A student can apply for the hostel seat during the registration by submitting 6 months advance. Hostel fee is to be paid on a monthly basis and the amount is INR. 11000/- Inclusive of all the additional charges.

Ques. Can a student apply for UG or PG courses if he/she is waiting for their final year result of 12th or graduation?

Ans. Admission can be given to such students provisionally for any course but later needs to produce all the original marks sheets/ degrees at the time of admission.
