Nizam College is an autonomous institute located in Basheerbagh in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh was established in 1887. It was initially affiliated to the University of Madras and later became a constituent college of Osmania University. In 2012, the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) certified it as 'A' grade institution

Nizam College offers both undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the Faculties of Arts, Social Sciences, Commerce and Sciences in addition to professional courses such as MBA, MCA, M.Sc.(IS) and BCA.

The intake for UG Arts, Science, Management, and Computer Applications is 30 students per subject. Commerce has an intake of 45 students per course. Selection for UG courses is based on merit in the qualifying examination and for PG courses various entrance exams like OUCET, TS ICET are considered.

All candidates pursuing degree courses in Nizam College are eligible to enroll in the Certificate and Diploma courses introduced under UGC (COP) add-on scheme by the college. Offline Process-

Nizam College accepts applications from eligible candidates through offline mode for both UG and PG courses. The process of application in details is as follows:

The application form and prospectus can be purchased from the institute’s admission office within the dates stipulated for the purpose.
After filling the application form, candidates must submit the same in person or by post to reach the institute before the last date to apply. Forms reaching beyond the deadline won’t be considered for admission.
The merit list and dates for counseling and admission will be published on the institute website.
The prescribed admission fee for the chosen courses must be paid in cash on the spot during counseling. No other mode of payment is accepted by the institute.

Nizam College Scholarship Schemes

The students whose parents have less than the salary of 1 Lakh per year are instructed to apply for the scholarship, reimbursement of tuition fee by the Social Welfare/Tribal Welfare/Backward Classes & Minority Welfare Department through “ONLINE” on the website http://epasswebsite.cgg.gov.in and fill up the relevant columns through “ONLINE” submission only.
The printed copy of the “online” scholarship form along with the enclosures has to be submitted in the Scholarship Section of the College without fail.

Ques. What is the registration fee for DOST?

Ans. The candidate needs to pay Rs. 200/- as registration fee online. Late fee will be Rs 400/-For late registration dates kindly visit DOST official website at https://dost.cgg.gov.in and refer to section Admission Schedule, DOST. Moreover, this fee is not refundable

Ques. What are the prerequisites to register in DOST?

Ans. The candidate must seed his/her mobile number with Aadhaar, update name, gender, and date of birth as per SSC/Intermediate certificate in Aadhaar in advance.

Ques. What about the placements at Nizam College?

Ans. The students who wish to appear for the campus placements must register themselves to the Placement and Training Cell. The cell coordinates and organizes several campus recruitment drives to extend employment opportunities to students. The Placement Cell in collaboration with Pragathi Youth Development Association conducts Skill Development programmes to help students nurture and enhance the necessary industry-related skills to match the professional environment.

Ques. What is OUCET's pattern?

Ans. The CPGET (OUCET) 2020 entrance exam in all subjects except MPEd will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) for 100 marks. MPEd will be out of 75 marks as the remaining 25 will be judged on the candidates’ sports achievement over the last three years. The marks will be given by the department of the Osmania University and the marks provided will be final.

Nizam College offers seats for undergraduate courses through the online DOST (Degree Online Services, Telangana) website. You need to register in order to participate in the online admission process.

You should give web options. As per DOST Schedule, seats will be allotted. Go to college for admission.

This selection will be purely based on merit. Therefore, the seats will be allotted to the students depending on their overall academic performance.

Can a management give a seat in a BCA at Nizam College Hyderabad?
