Started in 1986, RVS College of Arts and Science is an autonomous institution affiliated to Bharathiar University.
RVS College of Arts and Science offers courses leading to graduation, post graduation and research in the disciplines of Arts and Science. Currently, the college runs 17 UG, 14 PG, 8 M.Phil and Ph.D degree programs.

RVS College of Arts and Science PG Admission 2023
The college also offers a number of traditional and professional degree courses at postgraduate level. Admissions are direct for M.A, M.Sc, M.Com and MSW and based on merit of qualifying degree.
MBA and MCA admissions are conducted on the basis of tests scores of national and state level entrance examinations. All the courses are of two-year expect for MCA which is a three-year course. Lateral Entry admissions are also offered in second year of MCA on the basis of TANCET scores.

Key Points for Admission:
- As per the eligibility criteria for TANCET, there is 5% relaxation for reserved category candidates.
- Candidates applying under management quota for MBA and MCA program must seek admission through Tamil Nadu Self Financing Consortium common entrance test.
RVS College of Arts and Science M.Phil and Ph.D Admission 2023
RVSCAS offers degrees of M.Phil and Ph.D in different specializations at research level. Interested candidates can choose between full-time and part-time mode of study. Admissions are conducted by Bharathiar University through merit of qualifying degree, post graduate common entrance test (CET) and interview.
Candidate should have passed PG degree course under SSLC+HSC+UG+PG pattern with minimum 55% marks in the qualifying examination for admission in both M.Phil and Ph.D.

Key Points:
- Relaxation of 5% is given to SC/ST candidates.
- M.Phil holders are exempted from taking the written test for Ph.D. but are required to appear in interview.
- Also, UGC/CSIR-JRF NET/SLET/GATE/ Teacher fellowship holders / Scientist working in DRDO / faculty of Air Force Administrative College/foreign candidates are exempted from entrance test.
Application Process
The application forms for UG and PG courses are available in offline mode. Candidates can download the form from college website or purchase from the college by paying the requisite fees in cash or through DD.
M.Phil and Ph.D: Application forms are available on the Bharathiar University official website. Candidates need to follow the given steps for successful registration for the program.
- Application Form can be downloaded from the official website of Bharathiar University.
- Cost of application for M.Phil. is INR 500 and Ph.D. is INR 600.
- The application fees can be paid in the form of DD from any Nationalized Bank/Challan (Bank of India) to be drawn in favor of “The Registrar, Bharathiar University, Coimbatore”.
- One copy of application form along with original DD/Challan (without any documents) must be sent to “The Registrar, Bharathiar University, Coimbatore-46”.
- Second Copy with all attested copies of certificates has to be sent to the Principal of RVS College of Arts and Science within the given time period.
