About Bharathiar University

Bharathiar University is a state University established by Tamil Nadu Government under the Act of Bharathiar University 1981. It is accredited with A Grade by NAAC with a CGPA of 3.11, running with 14 major schools and 37 departments. At present Bharathiar University has 132 affiliated colleges.

The University offers admission to various PG and Doctoral programmes through either state or national level entrance or through direct admission. More than 2100+ students can be enrolled for PG courses during one academic year.

Bharathiar University Admission

The applications are accepted either online or offline for admission to Bharathiar University.

Offline Registration:

Students can procure an application form in person from the university office by his/her community certificate along with the request for application.
Candidate shall also send a self addressed envelope (28 x 13 cms) affixing Rs. 60/- stamp along with the application form
Candidates can also download the application form available at the university website and submit it upon completion along with a DD for INR 400.
Application forms along with the DD, completed in all respects, must reach the Professor and Head of Department.

Online Application:

Candidates can also register online for admission to the university courses through the official website. Candidates should possess the following pre-requisites while registering online:

Valid Email ID.
Soft Copy Passport size Photograph
Demand Draft of INR 400 as application fee for OC / BC / MBC / DNC candidates.
Demand Draft of INR 200 as application fee in case SC / ST candidates, on production of attested photocopy of community certificate.

Campus:

Located 12 km away from Coimbatore, in the foothills of Western Ghats in a campus size of 778.89 acres. It is well connected for commute, sports facilities, post offices, etc.

Library:

With a collection of over 1,90,000 books, the library at Bharathiar University offers students with a wide variety of references. The library has the system of catalogue, recently quipped with RFID and various electronic resources.

Computing Facilities:

There’s 1 GBPS broadband connectivity at its Internet Centre which also includes web camera, photocopying, printing facilities.. Each department has private access to LAN and WiFi for its respective students and faculty members.

Ans. There are only a few courses that require entrance exam like majorly for PG courses. The entrance is conducted by the concerned departments under the university guidelines. CET is conducted by the university while TANCET is conducted by Anna University.

The college facility is really good, and the teaching is excellent. There are friendly and experienced teachers to guide us at any time.
The college provides internships to the students, but the students are welcome to select a company on their own.
I have attended internships and interviews in college. They helped me because the internships were very good and they helped me learn about certain things. We attended interviews and also got placed in some companies too.
They gave a scholarship to the student who scored good marks and ranked high in school. They even helped us with a loan by providing a letter, among other things. Additionally, they gave us some ideas for loans so that we could consider our options.
Campus life is filled with fun and enjoyment, as well as fabulous peer groups.
The University hostels are spacious, furnished rooms available on a twin-sharing basis with attached washrooms.
Bharathiar University is a place where students are nurtured by a great professional faculty. I express my sincerest admiration to the Director of our College, visiting faculty, and also the alumni. Alumni always inspire and support me to achieve success in my life.

- Above 60% was the eligibility. - Application forms will be provided in the college from the end of the previous academic year/after the public exams. - I didn't avail reservation. After the Board results came, and with more than 80% marks, I got the seat quite quickly. - No, the admission processes happened with ease. They are good already.

The admission process is very smooth and the 12th percentage is the qualification for admission most of the students are from outside of the state you can find the application form online and there are no reservation benefits.

Well, to join this college you should write the eamcet exam and score the best rank considering your rank in eamcet exam the seat will be allowed in a specific group. There are the options to select the groups you like and the seat will be allowed under the convenor quota.For joining in this college the student should write the POLYCET entrance exam conducted by the Telangana government. I have got 2524 rank and joined in this college. The allotment of seats will depend on the score and rank in the entrance exam. To get better college you should score well in entrance exam.

No entrance exams for admission. You need to have better grades to get admission. People who apply here have a good percentage i.e. above 80%. Applications are online on the government of Tamilnadu website. The process of admission is clean and neat.
