Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College BTech admissions are based on WBJEE Score/ JEE Main Score. The application process for WBJEE has commenced on December 28, 2023. Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College, a government institution established in 1961, is the second-oldest engineering college in West Bengal. JGEC is affiliated to Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology. The courses taught at JGEC have been approved by AICTE and accredited by NBA and NAAC.

JGEC teaches eight specializations across two courses. The applicants interested in pursuing B.Tech in JGEC should have completed 10+2 in the Science stream; they must also take the WBJEE for selection.
