Vidyalankar Institute of Technology offers courses of undergraduate level engineering degree programs in five specializations, Information Technology, Computer Technology, Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, and Biomedical Engineering. 

VIT Mumbai B.E. Eligibility

Intermediate Graduate in science stream with an aggregated pass percentage with a minimum of 50% marks in the subjects Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology any technical vocational subject combined. For the reservation category, 45% is considered.

VIT Mumbai B.E. Selection Criteria

• When applying for Biomedical Engineering it is preferred to have Biology or Biotechnology as a subject in senior secondary education. 
• Allotment of seats would be done through the Maharashtra State Level Engineering Counselling Process based on the candidates’ rank and marks obtained in the MHT CET/ PG CET/ JEE Mains. This process would be continued for all the B.E courses that are offered by VIT Mumbai.
• Foreign/ NRI candidates can apply directly for admissions based on the marks that are obtained in the last qualifying examination they give.

How to apply for B.E programs?

Documents Required:

• SSC mark sheet
• HSC mark sheet
• Transfer certificate of XII std
• Scorecard of JEE Main or MHT CET
• Domicile certificate
• Passport size photograph
• Nationality Certificate or Birth Certificate or the PAssport.
• Aadhar Card

• Gap certificate (if any)

Application Process:

• Apply online at the MHT-CET website before the last date. The payment of the fees can be done online via net banking or any other form of e-banking. 
• Follow the basic registration rules by filling it out with relevant information. 
• Receive the Application number and password to their MHT CET account 
• Upload scanned copies of passport-sized photographs and signatures.
• Pay the fee of INR 800/- online
• Save and print the complete application form with the payment receipt or acknowledgment slip for reference.

ME Specializations

VIT Mumbai M.E., M.M.S Eligibility

• For M.E programs, candidates should complete a B.E/ B. Tech degree in the relevance of the field applying to with a minimum of 50% marks and 45% marks for students who fall under the Backward class category and Disability criteria. For MMS, a candidate should graduate from any course.
• For candidates who are being sponsored, must have at least two years of full-time work experience in a firm/ company/ educational institute/ industry or research institution/ Government Department or Government Autonomous Organization.

VIT Mumbai M.E., M.M.S Selection Criteria

• Candidates are required to have a valid GATE score to be eligible for admissions meeting the rank or marks needed. Admissions are provided on the basis of the GATE merit rank.
• The candidates are requested to appear for the CAP counseling that would be conducted by DTE, Maharashtra, for the seat allotment.

Application Process:

• The candidates can visit the DTE website for the online submission of the application.
• Follow the rules as given to complete the process as required with relevant information
• Payment for the application fee can be done online by various e-banking options.
• The applicants then must visit Facilitation Center after submitting the form for the document verification, updating, and confirmation process of the application form.
• The merit list will be declared and the candidates must fill the online registration form for the CAP which is conducted by the state of Maharashtra DTE.

VIT Mumbai Ph.D. Eligibility

The minimum criteria of eligibility for applying for the Ph.D. program is a Master’s degree in either M.E/M.Tech with the required details. The candidates that are in the SC/ST criteria must meet the minimum required marks of 45% in the last qualifying examination.

VIT Mumbai Ph.D. Selection Criteria

• The applicants who are not applying through GATE can apply directly through the admission department and will only be selected on terms of marks obtained in the last qualifying examination under the Institution's rules. 
• The candidates are selected based on merit.

Application Process

• Apply through the university website or collect a physical copy of the application from the university grounds admission cell. The registration fee must be paid online or a cash deposit can be made at the fee counter. 
• Submitted back the filled copy to the admission cell with a photocopy of the relevant documents required before the last date.
• Attend the mandatory counseling conducted by the Director of Technical Education, Maharashtra.
