GCS Medical College Admission 2024: Dates, Courses, Fees, Eligibility Criteria

The college offers only one UG Course that is MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery). The course is a four and a half year period followed by a one-year internship. 

Out of 150 seats available for MBBS, 85% are reserved for state quota and the remaining 15% is for nation-wise counseling.

Eligibility

• The candidate must be a citizen of India and have completed 17 years of age on the 31st of December of the academic year
• The candidate must have passed 10+2 (PCB stream) with a minimum of 50% for general category students, 40% for SC/ST category students, and 45 % for OBC category students.
• A candidate must have appeared in NEET UG Entrance Examination conducted for that year for which admission is being held and qualified as per criteria laid down by the competent authority.

How to apply for NEET UG?

• Firstly, the candidate aspiring for admission should register himself/herself at the official website for NEET UG.
• The application fees can be paid online through Credit/Debit card, Net banking or UPI payment gateway.
• The application fee is INR 1,500 for General (UR), INR 1,400 for General-EWS/OBC (NCL), and for ST /SC candidates the fee is INR 850.

GCSMC offers two courses for postgraduate degree namely MD (Doctor of Medicine) and MS (Master of Surgery). It has a number of specializations to choose from. The table below lists the 16 MD specializations and 3 specializations for MS.

The college has reserved 25% of the seats for the NRI and Management quota (NRI- 15% and Management quota-10%) and the remaining 75% seats are reserved for government quota through which includes state quota and open category seats.

Eligibility Criteria

• A candidate shall be an Indian Citizen.
• The candidate must have completed MBBS degree from any college recognized by the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
• Candidate must have completed one year of internship on or before March 31 of the respective academic year.
• A candidate must have appeared in NEET PG Entrance Examination conducted for that year for which admission are being held and qualified as per criteria laid down by the competent authority.

• The candidate shall register at the official website for NEET PG.
• The application fees can be paid online through Credit/Debit card, Net banking or UPI payment gateway.
• The application fee is INR 3750 for General and OBC category and INR 2750 for SC/ST and PWD category.
