Directorate of Distance Education (DDE), Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU) was established in 1975 in Rohtak, Haryana. At present, MDU DDE offers various UG and PG degree courses in several disciplines. The undergraduate courses include BA, B.Com. and B.L.I.Sc. At the postgraduate level, MA in seven specializations, M.Sc, M.Com. and M.L.I.Sc. are offered to the candidates.
- Admission to all the courses is based on merit in the qualifying examination.
- All candidates who have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with English as a compulsory subject are eligible for BA and B. Com courses.
- For B.L.I.Sc, the candidates need to pass Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
- For MA, M.Sc. and M.Com courses, a Bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject is required for fulfilling the eligibility.
- Minimum eligibility for M.L.I.Sc is to hold a B.L.I.Sc. degree from MDU or other recognized university.
- Application process is online and the candidates need to fill the form through the official website of university.
- MDU students enrolling for PG program need to perform different steps at the time of filling the application form as compared to students from other board or university.
- Application fees can be paid through e-challan at any branch of Punjab National Bank or Axis Bank.

MDU DDE Result
MDU DDE Rohtak follows Annual Examination Procedure. The Exams for Annual Courses are held in the month of May-June every year. MDU DDE Date sheet is released through the official portal of the University and MDU DDE Admit Card can also be downloaded from the same. MDU DDE Results are published on its official website and can be checked through the following procedure:

4. Enter the Registration Number and Roll Number.

MDU DDE UG Admission 2023: BA, B.Com & B.Lib.Sc
Directorate of Distance Education, MDU, provides B.Com and BA at undergraduate level along with B.L.I.Sc program for the candidates with a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
Selection to all the courses is offered on the basis of merit. The basic eligibility criterion for BA and B.com is passing 10+2 from a recognized board with English as a compulsory subject.

Key Points:
- Candidates who have a compartment in one subject or in English at 10+2 level, will be eligible for admission on provisional basis to BA/B.Com courses provided they qualify the same subject of compartment in the next annual examination to be held in the month of March.
- Such candidates will have to provide the proof of cleared/passed exam before declaration of result of BA and B.Com courses.
- Failed candidates’ admission will automatically be cancelled.
- Candidates who have passed 10+2 examination in all subjects through supplementary examination are also eligible for admission.
- If a candidate fails to pass supplementary exams in all subjects then their admission will be cancelled.
MDU DDE PG Admission 2023: MA, M.Sc, M.Com & M.Lib.Sc
DDE also offers MA, M.Sc, M.Com and M.Lib.Sc courses in various disciplines at the PG level. Graduation in the cognate subject is the desired eligibility criteria for admission. Final admission is based on candidates’ marks in graduation followed by document verification at DDE.

MDU, DDE Application Process 2023
The application form can be filled by following the below-listed steps:
- Visit the official website of Distance Education, MDU and click on the link given for registration.
- Choose between Fresh Registration and Already Enrolled Students.
- Click on ‘Fresh Registration’ for new student registration.
- Click on register and a new dialog box will appear where it will ask if the student is already an MDU student or not.
- Candidates who are not from MDU need to click on ‘No’ and students from MDU need to click on ‘Yes’.
- Now, fill the application form and click on ‘Save and Proceed’.
- Login by using newly assigned e-mail ID and password followed by fulfilment of rest of the details.
- Pay the application fee through challan (Axis Bank).
- Take out the print out of application form and send it with the required documents to DDE Office:
