Kerala University Distance Education was started in 1976, as a research and teaching department of the university, has been one of the colonist Centre of distance education in the state. Kerala University Distance Education offers 25 programs, which include UG and PG courses, through the distance mode of education under the departments of literature, Commerce, Science, Humanities, Library & IT, and Information Sciences. English is the medium of instruction for all the courses at the University of Kerala distance education except for a few language courses.
The University of Kerala offers various undergraduate programs in a variety of streams of Science, Commerce and Arts which enables the needful and the eligible candidate to acquire professional education apart from their earning. For admission to all the undergraduate courses (except BLISc), it is compulsory that the candidates are required to pass 10+2 from a recognized board of education.

The University of Kerala offers various postgraduate programs in a variety of streams of Science, Commerce, and Arts which enables the needful and the eligible candidate to acquire professional education apart from their earning. All the PG courses except M.L.I.Sc are of 1-year duration.

Ans The following are the steps to fill the Online Application form:
Step 1: Before you fill the Online Application form, properly read the instructions very carefully before you fill the application form.
Step 2: Remit the Amount of prospectus.
Step 3: Then log in to the official website of the Kerala University.
Step 4: A new page will come up then tap on the link “Online Admission for Academic Year 2020-21”
Step 5: Then click on the Registration option to start for Online Registration.
Step 6: Then login with your individual application number and then enter the password provided to you during the registration.
Step 7: Get a print out of the Application form for future use.
Step 8: In the end, after you fill the application form send the form along with fee receipts such as the prospectus, First-semester fee, along with DDF, application fee, and other fees applicable for the course opted.
Note: Applicants belonging to SC/ST/OEC category should show the print out of E-grants
on-line application for fee category concession from Akshaya Kendram with a copy
