REC provides all the facilities for the overall development of the students.

Library: The College library is located in a spacious new building of 9000 Sq. ft. The library is open to students and staff members from 7.30 a.m. to 7.30 p.m. on all working days. The library has a rich collection of around 52,600 volumes of textbooks, reference books, national and international journals in all branches of Engineering, Science, Technology, Management and General Studies, and the collection is ever increasing. The books are classified according to Dewey Decimal Classification Scheme. The open-access system is followed in the library.
Canteen: The college is equipped with a fully functional vegetarian canteen to serve hygienically prepared food to the staff and students. A subsidized mess is also operative in the campus. A separate mess for boys has been provided.
Transport: A full-fledged Transport department functions in the college with buses to provide transport facilities to students and staff from various places. This service is offered to ensure hassle-free and safe transportation.
The College runs 85 buses for providing transport facilities to students from various places in the city. The number of buses will be increased corresponding to the increase in the intake of students.
Health Centre: The Health Centre here at Rajalakshmi Engineering College is well equipped. It has a separate inpatient facility for male and female students. What Students Say?

The exam structure is very good in our college and it will be helpful in improving the knowledge of the students.
The college does not provide any internships, but it gives guidelines for attending the best internships.
The college placements are also good, and the students are eligible in their 3rd year. The companies that visited include TCS, CTS, Infosys, and other best companies. The percentage of students with no arrears can attend the placement process.
There is no scholarship or loan facility offered by my college, to the best of my knowledge.
There will be a sports day and an intra-college fest, which is the best in the college. Additionally, there will be numerous clubs in which we can participate to showcase our talents and gain knowledge.
The facilities in the rooms, like one fan, two lamps, cots, and the study table they provided, are good.
Our college was the best and still is the best REC Chennai rock. I am happy and proud to be a part of this college. I refer all my cousins and friends to this college.

Dislike

You cannot expect an internship in any other college because it would be a waste of money for them. However, in Rajalakshmi Engg College, you can expect at least one industrial visit per semester.
I was paid 1.7 lac in yearly fees, without any scholarship or financial assistance yet.
I have heard from many hostel students that the hostel and mess facilities are poor.
I feel like changing this for hostelers... Then the bus is also equipped with both A/C and non-A/C.

Eligibility of the course is 160 cut-off minimum the eligibility changes according to the course. The application form will be available on the college's official website, and application fees and application dates will be provided in the college's main centre. There is no reservation for admission. They should improve their time working students who come for admission are waiting for it whole day, these are the admission process
