McGAN’s Ooty School of Architecture, Ooty Admissions 2024: Cut Off, Reservation criteria, Scholarship

At the undergraduate level, MOSA offers five-year under graduate course in Architecture for the candidates who have passed class 12^th with Mathematics as one of the subjects. Minimum qualifying marks to apply for admissions is 50% aggregate. The lower age limit of the candidate is 17 years (as on January 31, 2021).

Applicants who possess 3 years Diploma or International Baccalaureate passed after 10 years of Schooling are also eligible to apply. Admissions will be made through merit list issued on the basis of candidate’s scores in National Aptitude Test for Architecture (NATA).

Entrance test will be conducted through pen and paper mode. Applicants must have secured minimum 80 marks in NATA. The test will comprise two sections:

• Part A: Mathematics & General Aptitude
• Part B: Drawing

Candidates must produce following documents at the time of admissions:

1. Copy of application form
2. Class 10^th mark sheet
3. Class12th/ Diploma mark sheet
4. Transfer Certificate
5. Community Certificate
6. 10 passport size photographs
7. NATA Score card
8. Migration Certificate
9. Soft Copy of signature
10. Self-Handwriting soft copy (max 40 words)

The institute offers two years M.Arch in two specializations (General and Environmental Architecture) to candidates who have completed Bachelors course in Architecture. The course is offered under both - regular and part-time mode. Candidates will be admitted for the course through counseling based on their scores in State Level entrance test i.e. Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET).

The entrance exam will be of two hours duration and shall be conducted offline. The test will consist of 100 multiple choice questions (MCQs) carrying 1 mark each and following sections:

• Part A: Engineering Mathematics
• Part B: Basic Engineering & Sciences

Candidates having obtained the qualifying degree through distance mode are not eligible to apply.

For the candidates admitted to the first year of the courses at MOSA, the institute offers Value Additional Courses under the Council for Innovative Skills in Design and Value Add On Courses under Heritage Council (Research & Development) in an array of disciplines. Candidates can opt to pursue the courses along with the regular courses with 50%/ 75%/ 100% scholarships (as applicable). Candidates having passed class 12^th or having completed three years Diploma after class 10^th are eligible to apply for admissions.
