Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College, Ujire Admission 2024: PG Amissions, Application process

SDM College offers three-year undergraduate courses with multiple subject combinations in Arts, Science, Commerce, Computer Applications and Business Management. Admissions will be offers for the candidates who have successfully appeared for two year Karnataka Pre University Examinations/ Higher Secondary Examinations of other boards. Admissions will be offered on the basis of candidate’s academic performance and Interview round.

Note: Interviews will be conducted at college campus.

At postgraduate level, the college offers two-year Masters program in Biotechnology, Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physics, Psychology, Statistics, Commerce, Social Work, Economics, English and Mass Communications. Applicants must possess Bachelor’s in related/ concerned disciplines with minimum 45% aggregate marks. The university conducts written entrance test for admissions to PG courses. Qualifying candidates will have to appear for the further round of interview.

Key Points:

• Entrance exam will consist of a written test of 90 marks and Interview of 10 marks.
• Candidates belonging to SC/ ST categories are entitled to relaxation of 5% in the qualifying exam.
• Spot Admissions will also be offered for the candidates with excellent academic record.
• For final merit list, 40% weightage will be given to candidate’s score in qualifying degree examinations and 60% weightage will be given to candidate’s score in entrance exam.

Under its Research Centre, the college offers Doctoral in Kannada, Economics, Sanskrit, English, Psychology, Chemistry, Physics and Commerce. Ph.D Kannada, History, Economics, Sanskrit and English are affiliated to Hampi Kannada University. Other research courses are affiliated to Tumkur University except Ph.D Psychology which has been affiliated to Managalore University.

Candidates holding Master’s in the relevant disciplines and have secured 55% aggregate are eligible to apply for admissions. Admissions will be based on candidate’s academic performance, written entrance test and interview.

Key Points:

• For final merit list, ratio of weightage of qualifying marks and entrance test will be 50:50.
• Teachers of University to which the program is affiliated to and its colleges, appointed on regular basis shall have post graduate degree with 50% aggregate marks.
• Candidates of reserved categories are also entitled to relaxation of 5% marks in minimum qualifying marks at degree level.
• Following candidates are exempted from the written entrance test by the university:

Qualified UGC/ CSIR (JRF)/ NET/ SLET/ GATE/ Teacher Fellowship Holder/ M.Phil holders.
